The lowest moment of last night — maybe the lowest of the election and in the history of the GOP — came before the debate, when Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus pledged that the RNC “is going to support the nominee, whoever that is, 100 percent...” The sort of soulless, amoral stance displayed last night toward a figure as dangerous as Trump suggests that whether Trump becomes the nominee or not, a new center-right party is required, one that specifically rejects Trumpism.

Donald Trump holds the narrowest lead of any Republican nomination contest in forty years. His media-centric divide-and-conquer approach has left the party split and his candidacy weakened. Barring a miraculous turnabout towards healing and uniting the party, his slim delegate advantage shows little margin for error in the march to 1,237, even if he wins Ohio and Florida...... A troubling sign for him in this regard comes from the Michigan exit polls, where...

..."I didn't major in math," said the Baptist preacher, "I majored in miracles." Good for Huck. Why should he drop out? For too long conservatives have suppressed their convictions or meekly submitted, so as not to oppose a Republican president or get out of step with the party leadership.... ...For his party's and his country's sake, as well as his own, Mike Huckabee should keep the conversation going. Because right now, his party is looking at Hillary, Obama -- or Bush's third term.

"I think what they're looking for is a strong leader, and I think they think I'm a strong leader. And that I am." Click Here For Full Story

CLINTON MANIA IN HANOI HANOI, Nov 17 (AFP) - US President Bill Clinton received a rapturous welcome from thousands of Vietnamese Friday and called for a new era of reconcilation after the pain and suffering of the Vietnam War in a live address to the nation. In scenes never before seen in the communist capital, crowds mobbed Clinton desperate to get a glimpse of the first US head of state to visit Vietnam since the war, which ended in 1975 with the communists inflicting the first and only US military defeat. The mob scenes came before Clinton gave a key ...
