It occurs to me that second to the soldiers who served with Bergdahl, I'd love most to hear from those in Idaho watching this unfold.

I regard the use of "no regrets" as being actively flippant and narcissistic. Fallible humans, serious people with consciences--should have regrets! There have been many commencement speeches with this fatuous line. What do the armchair philosophers here on FR think of it, where it came from and how can anyone be so arrogant as to expect to make no mistake, never be foolish, or always excuse and dismiss the hard lessons that come with regret?

I keep trying to find a good article to get this basic fact out but haven't found one, so shall write it myself. Have been watching young people i know "invest" small amounts usually to design video games...what in the world is this? The potential for trouble and fraud seem enormous. I need to keep my land line, but I'm about ready to turn the ringer off which means real calls won't get my attention. This all really started at the change of the year, and may have something to do with the small political donations. Maybe. I don't know. But it starts in the morning and ends in the early evening. I've been doing some searches, cannot come up with news accounts to support an email that claims that guns were taken from hurricane victims (either Staten Island o elsewhere) at *gunpoint*--rendering them helpless. I regularly eat at chick fil a. I've always found it cleaner and friendlier than other fast food. This August first is support your local ChicknFilA day and I've decided to buy friends and family some of their gift cards. I posted the same idea some weeks ago. There is a Democrat convention to renominate Precious Dictator in Early September. What if we all just showed up in our Gadsden T shirts? We can't get permits to gather, and we probably can't carry signs--legally--but we can fill the sidewalks and we can shout.

So far, the Dems haven't decided to flee Charlotte. They are pretty close to a lot of us in the South. Are there any parties planned? Could be fun...
