I watch Bob Beckel on the Five and he asserts that we're "out to get Hillary" because we think we can keep her from running for president if we pin the Benghzi scandal on her. This is premised on the notion that she wants to run and the Democrats want her to run. What if she does not want to run, and the Democrats don't really want her to run, or not nearly as much as they pretend to want her to run?
I don't think they love Hillary as much as they FEAR her. They don't seem to be operating to protect their "candidate" as much as operating to protect their own hides.
My theory--Hillary knows where the bodies are buried, literally, and she will take any attempt to throw her under the bus on Benghazi as a declaration of war. The word is out--say a discouraging word about Hillary and she will release the dogs. Until then, all the Dems circle their wagons around Hillary, and pretend they want her as president.
They are also threatening the GOP to also not say an unkind word about Hillary's role, or else...what? Exactly what can the Dems do to us? Not that we won't see Republican Senators tremble at the warning from the Dems, even if they don't have anything to fear.
What if they went after Hillary, and forced Hillary to retaliate against the Dems for failing to defend her?
Don's let Hillary off the hook.
Remember how the Rose law firm’s records just “appeared” on a desk. Look for the same thing to happen with Zero’s passport records which Hitlery has. This is an onslaught to take him out, and her friends in the IRS and the media will help her. Biden will then appoint her as VP, making a 2016 run easier. Zero the puppet has outworn his usefulness.
If Bill Clinton's character was upstanding and he truly wanted to do a good job and really cared about being a statesman rather than an inept, lying, intern-pseudo-boinker, we would have had no need impeach him.
Dittos for his lousy, lying, lipstick-lesbian wife.
I think Hillary is hungry for a little revenge on those who dissed her in 2008.
Probably some wishful thinking in this, but it's safe to pile on Obama right now, and Davis is absolutely for Hillary, as is Carville.
Of course, Hillary would want to run, but that doesn't mean she can. She doesn't seem to be very much on the ball, her public performances have not only been weak but downright fatuous. She was never very smart, but never underestimate her drive, and I don't see the drive.
And it may be an act, but she doesn't seem to be in the best of health. In 2016, she'd be three years older, in her seventies?
maybe her age/health is why she would settle for VP now (still making history) as opposed to waiting til 2016.
If a reporter wanted to change the course of Human History, he/she would directly ask the president this question and follow up....
“Mr. President, did you give the ‘Stand Down’ order that got the American’s in Bengazi killed?”
He would answer no and try and move on. Loud and aggressive follow up.....
“Mr. President, then can we assume that since Ms. Clinton took ‘full responsibility’ for the affair that SHE gave the ‘Stand Down’ order?”
Whether he responds to the question or not is of no consequence. Did the Commander in Chief give orders during the attack? If not, who did and why? No military authority is going to issue ‘Stand Down’ orders to protect his men. Somebody did. Who and why? Expand the narrative.
Obama might just say “Yes.” Clinton would fire up her own bus and take the wheel.
Whatever is happening, there is no way she would be VP. It’s a ceremonial role and she’s already been bowing and hobnobbing all over the world. What she will want, IMO, is a kingmaker or kingbreaker role. And the desire is strong to break this skinny little king, I believe.
If it even looked like Hitlery took down Nobama there is no way she would get the black voters to her side. I don’t care if they did say her hubby was the first black president. Nobama’s skin color got him elected.
Hillary is a soulless machine. If she wants the presidency, she’ll coldly employ any and every tactic available to her to get it. The only remote chance of anyone thwarting her would be if some baby-faced hispanic ran against her in the democrat primary.
No one in the Republican stable will serve as a handy “media” target, but will offer no appreciable competition.
If Obama’s second term is cut short for any reason, his demise will become another festering sore preventing this nation from ever getting past the racial divide. The race baiters will forever use the downfall of the first black skinned President to claim whitey brought him down due to his skin color. It is far better for Obama to finish his term and be completely discredited by scandals during the last three years.
If Obama finishes his second term it will be much easier in the future for the electorate to objectively and impartially evaluate future black candidates for high office as well as their performance in office. No doubt Obama received a sizable vote in 2008 from people who wanted to see the first black elected (both white and black voters voted for him because he was black). It is very possible the millions who voted based on race alone, were sufficient to give him the margin of victory. The historic moment is now in the past and if he completes two full terms, the next time a black runs for President, there will be no perceived need to cast a vote solely for the purpose of making history.
While Obama can certainly do much harm to the country in office, the perpetuation of the racial divide throughout our nation’s history has done much more harm. If this nation cannot get beyond classifying people by skin color, we will ultimately fail anyway. Let Obama finish his term and be judged a failure for his policies. Don’t give the race baiters an excuse to claim he was forced out due to racism.
The Democrats are incredibly incompetent at governing but they are magnificent at politics. Everything is politics to them. All decisions are made based on politics. The Democrat party is their god. It would be hard to bring Hillary back into government. It would be difficult but not impossible. But what about John Kerry? Obama has served his usefulness. We have Obamacare and they kept a Republican out of the Presidency for this term. Look at that grey hair color. He can claim medical issues and resign. He can also go to his strength which has been the sympathy vote. “Those bad Republicans have turned his hair grey!” Keep asking yourself, “Why would Hillary and Obama want to overthrow the government of Libya?” Then, look at Soros. The only rational reason Hillary and Obama would have for overthrowing the government of Libya is that they stood to make money off it. And Hillary is getting $14,000,000 for writing another book that will sell 5,000 copies? She’s getting paid off folks. The Democrat voters may be misguided and chicken, but the Democrat leaders are horrible people.
If Obama does fail so spectacularly, why would anyone blame Hillary? She could bring it about without getting the blame. Think about it. Everyone is rallying around Hillary right now. And if she doesn’t really believe she has the strength for another presidential campaign, and she didn’t seem all that energetic in 2008, and even less so as SOS...she doesn’t need any black votes.
She may be a soulless machine, but it’s in a weakening old woman’s body. If she’s faking her illnesses, she ought to win an Oscar.
She’s not a lipstick lezzie. Huma is. Hitlerly is a modified bulldyke.
Oh I get it. Just like Nixon appoints Ford and Ford appoints Rockefeller and Squeeky Frome almost succeeds in assassinating Ford ... and then ....
If I was Joe Biden under those circumstances, I wouldn't pick Hillary "Vincent Arkancide Foster-McDougal" Hubble for that job.
FReegards!
True, but remember the dems' base of support is 47%... they would back Kermit Gosnell if he were their nominee.
I also remember how some Clinton scandal documents -- I've forgotten which ones (whitewater-related, I think) suddenly appeared in the trunk of an old car that was about to be demolished.
Lanny Davis, like Bob Beckel and Kirsten Powers, is more fair-minded than most liberal commentators.
Not that any of them isn't partisan, but they'll take their own side's excesses to task from time to time. Most liberals won't.
