I just received a call from a most inarticulate foreign individual identifying himself as from Health Care for Americans Now. I asked if he was from ACORN or representing Obama. After a struggle to understand him and make him understand me, the caller said, "Sorry, wrong number." These swine are shameless.

By DAVE KOLPACK, Associated Press Writer FARGO -- Democratic lawmakers in Washington are asking a North Dakota radio personality to take on Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and other conservative talk show hosts. He said a half-dozen stations are looking at whether to carry it. "The Democrats are getting...

FARGO, N.D. (AP) Two grazing associations have regained the right to manage grazing leases on federal land in western North Dakota, ending a lawsuit and lengthy dispute with the U.S. Forest Service. Under an agreement made public Wednesday, the Forest Service withdrew its February order that terminated management contracts with the McKenzie County and Medora grazing associations. The agreement, however, also spells out specifically what information the groups will be required to furnish to the Forest Service in order to continue managing the leases in the future. In a written statement Wednesday, Dennis Johnson, an attorney for the McKenzie ...

FARGO (AP) - The state's two largest grazing associations have defied a deadline to turn over hundreds of records to the U.S Forest Service, calling the agency's demand unlawful.'' Attorneys for the Medora Grazing Association and the McKenzie County Grazing Association told the Forest Service in a letter Monday that the groups would continue to oppose the order, despite threats that their contracts to manage grazing on the national grasslands would be canceled. Y2K Work Policy Set (Just in Case) The government isn't expecting many Y2K-related major disruptions in transportation, utilities and other sectors, but it isn't dropping its guard, either. Just in case there are “major unanticipated Y2K work disruptions,” as the Office of Personnel Management puts it, OPM has sent out a reminder to agencies regarding what they should do about staffing in these situations. Generally speaking, agencies must designate which employees will have to report to work or remain at work during Y2K emergencies. These "emergency" employees will be expected to report for work on time to deal with the ...

WASHINGTON - President Clinton will award the nation's highest civilian honor to former Presidents Jimmy Carter and Gerald Ford, the White House says - but not to onetime rival George H. Bush. That leaves Bush - father of Republican 2000 front-runner George W. Bush - as the only living ex-president who doesn't hold the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Bush awarded the medal to Ronald Reagan. Clinton also is granting the medal to Democrat Carter's wife Rosalynn for her work on mental health and women's equality, but not to Republican Ford's wife Betty, known for her work on substance abuse ...
