Why curse the Reformation? The Reformation is not to blame for what Robert Schuller and his church have done. They are. The Protestant reformers preached the true Gospel: salvation by grace through faith; the virgin birth; Christ’s blood atonement; the fact that Jesus is both divine and human; and Jesus’ death, burial, resurrection, ascension, and return. They preached about the resurrection and judgment of believers and unbelievers, Heaven and Hell, holiness, the priesthood of the believer, etc. They didn’t preach tolerance and “positive Christianity,” as Robert Schuller has done and still does. In fact, they wouldn’t be allowed to preach in his church, because their preaching would offend a lot of people and make them feel uncomfortable.

Jesus is the person who was nailed to the cross. The cross was not just a piece of wood. It was necessary for our salvation. And as for worshiping Him, I worship Him and every other Christian does, too. One day, and that will be the final judgment, every knee will bow to Him and every tongue will confess that He is Lord. But you don’t need to wait until then. You can do it now. If you wait until the final judgment, it will be too late.

Sunday as a day of worship was not sanctified by the Catholic Church or any other church. Christ sanctified Sunday as the day of worship when He rose from the grave. The Bible very plainly says that He rose the first day of the week, and the early Christians worshiped on that day (Matt. 28:1; Mark 16:1,9; Luke 24:1; John 20:1,19,26; Acts 20:7; I Cor. 16:2; Rev. 1:10).

As for the food, under the Old Covenant, there were certain foods that God said were clean and some that He called unclean. When Jesus came, He eliminated that distinction. He declared all foods clean (Mark 7:19). Even Paul said that “every creature of God is good, and nothing to be refused, if it be received with thanksgiving: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer” (I Tim. 4:4,5). He also said that “commanding to abstain from meats” is one of the “doctrines of devils” (I Tim. 4:1,3). Also remember Peter’s vision of the animals (Acts 10:11-16; 11:5-10). God told Peter not to call unclean what God has cleansed. What food has God cleansed? All of it.
