An immigration activist group is drawing attention to a photograph showing a billboard ad for a Spanish-language TV newscast in L.A. on which the "CA" abbreviation after "Los Angeles" has been crossed out and the word "Mexico" added in its place.

Found this on another message board, and thought my fellow Freepers would enjoy the history. A good friend of mine just sent this to me and...I'm rather beside myself at the sheer amount of hate, hypocricy and insanity that this "article" professes. The fact that any friend of mine (or any person in general, really) could actually agree with any of these rambling, incoherent statements is really just a sign of how looney politics makes people. Apparently we can't quote text from this website (www.theregister.co.uk - a tech site that for some reason dabbles in politics), so you'll have to click the link to see what I'm talking about...I started to refute the claims made...

Earlier today, I ordered America's armed forces to strike military and security targets in Iraq. They are joined by British forces. Their mission is to attack Iraq's nuclear, chemical and biological weapons programs and its military capacity to threaten its neighbors. Their purpose is to protect the national interest of the United States, and indeed the interests of people throughout the Middle East and around the world. Saddam Hussein must not be allowed to threaten his neighbors or the world with nuclear arms, poison gas or biological weapons.
