COLORADO SPRINGS - The security guard who saved lives by shooting a gunman at the New Life Church in Colorado Springs has apparently been asked to leave. In December 2007, Jeanne Assam - working as a volunteer security guard - shot Matthew Murray after he killed two people outside the church. He killed two others the night before at a training center for Christian missionaries in Arvada. Assam was honored for her quick action. Murray likely would’ve killed more people at the church if she had not shot him repeatedly then pinned him down. Assam says last year when she...

But come November 24th, here's an idea you might try to make the day extra-special. It's a one-word idea: Kilts. Think about it -- if you're a male, and you want to bollix-up the nonsensical airport security-industrial complex, one way to do so would be to wear a kilt. If nothing else, this will cause TSA employees to throw up their hands in disgust. If you want to go the extra extra mile, I suggest commando-style kilt-wearing. While it is probably illegal to fly without pants, I can't imagine that it's illegal to fly without underpants.

COLORADO SPRINGS — A visibly worn Dan Maes urged a group of 25 Tea Party activists to send Republican rainmakers a message by voting Maes for governor, even though it could cost conservatives the election. The small event Monday was one of just two Maes appearances scheduled in the eight days before Election Day as the GOP nominee — hemorrhaging support and among the least-popular candidates in the country — limps toward the finish line. His opponents, Democrat John Hickenlooper and third-party candidate Tom Tancredo, in the meantime are embarked upon cross-state sweeps as the election clock runs out. The...

Republican gubernatorial candidate Dan Maes' second-biggest campaign expense is . . . Dan Maes and his family. The Evergreen businessman, who sold his credit-reporting company last year and has been running for office full time since March 2009, has been reimbursed $71,658 from his campaign. His daughter Jordan, his executive aide, has been paid $14,101 for work and some expenses, according to a Denver Post analysis. The total is nearly 30 percent of the $304,000 Maes has raised. His top expense is advertising, which totals $113,338. The amount of Dan Maes' expenses, which include mileage, travel, phone, food and drinks...

GRAND RAPIDS -- Having watched the oil gushing in the Gulf of Mexico, dairy farmer Frank Konkel has a hard time seeing how spilled milk can be labeled the same kind of environmental hazard. But the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is classifying milk as oil because it contains a percentage of animal fat, which is a non-petroleum oil. The Hesperia farmer and others would be required to develop and implement spill prevention plans for milk storage tanks. The rules are set to take effect in November, though that date might be pushed back. "That could get expensive quickly," Konkel said....

“Choose this day whom you will serve.â€: An Open Letter to American Law Enforcement. Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhereThe ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worstAre full of passionate intensity. -- William Butler Yeats, “The Second Coming.†Gentlemen and ladies of American Law Enforcement, There is a growing perception among many Americans that we are headed for one of those periodic moments in our history when our reactions to events will redefine who we are as a people, where we...

(Excerpt) WHEAT RIDGE, Colo. - Call it Freedom of Speech. A billboard recently erected in Wheat Ridge compares President Barack Obama to a terrorist and questions his U.S. citizenship. The billboard, located at 4855 Miller Road, shows two cartoonish images of Obama wearing a Muslim turban and reads "PRESIDENT or JIHAD?" It also says "BIRTH CERTIFICATE - PROVE IT!" alluding to the conspiracy theory which claims Barack Obama was born in Kenya rather than Hawaii, which would disqualify him for the office of President. The words "WAKE UP AMERICA! REMEMBER FT. HOOD!" appear on the bottom of the billboard. (more...

This happened to the parents of another Patriot on the Alarm and Muster forum. I asked permission to post his thread in its entirety and was granted permission. Below is the entire post, email address removed to protect the privacy of the individuals invlolved:---------------------------So, ask yourself, how sincere was the DHS when they tried to smooth over the report that labels Christians as terrorists? Most of you have read the DHS report on Right Wing Extremism, and witnessed their soft peddling after they found out it ticked folks off. Well here is an very scary example of their sincerity that...
