With a clear conscience I can tell you there was no malice in my words. There still is no malice. It is sin in your own heart to think such against me and to even tell me not to write you back after having accused me.

You like the Pope, I understand. I am not talking about individual people, because God can save anyone, but, rather the office of the Pope is a man in the seat of Jesus Christ. That is a religious and historical fact; therefore, that office does not obey God. No man has a right to sit in that seat except the Son of God. The Catholic Church disobeys God on many things, but I guess you don’t want to see it? So we will agree to disagree.

As for Shimei and David. Didn’t you read 1 Kings 2? Shimei did wickedly by cursing God’s anointed. What Shimei said was not from God, because whatever one did to the king one did to God. God would not curse himself or the throne of which He had established before Himself forever. David was being humble about his encounter with Shemei, he wasn’t declaring the curse was from the Lord. It clearly wasn’t, because the Lord kept his promise to David and made him king.
In 1 Kings 2 we find out that what Shimei said was actually wicked.

I don’t understand why you are so offended and quick to possibly label me a sociopath just for me saying that God is my moral teacher and not man. If that is what man has to teach me, then I want nothing of it.

Man’s “morals” can become askew from the influence of this world so that it causes men to leave the narrow path that God teaches by his Word, to the point where even Christians start justifying sin by passing laws to protect evil; therefore, only God can be an accurate teacher for morality.

There is nothing wrong with my statement, and for you to find something wrong with it says more about what is wrong in your own mind and heart ma’am, with all due respect.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.” Proverbs 14:12

Therefore, I will put my trust in the Lord and in him alone.

Salvation is of the Jews. The Gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.

Does this mean that you do not accept religious instruction from any...

I mean exactly what I said.

Shimei was telling David God's truth.

    No, he wasn't. Read 1 Kings 2.

A good moral teacher is one who obeys God. Neither a Pope nor a madman nor a hypocrite obey God.

When I was a child, I used to hate the book of Job. I even tore it out of my Bible because, in my immature mind, it made no sense and didn’t belong there. How wrong I was. I have long since repented of my stupidity. How grateful I am that the book of Job is one of the God-breathed books that make up God’s Word. The closer God gets to me, allowing me to understand and know him, the more valuable his Word has become to me. Like a jewelry box full of secret compartments, each one holding a precious gem.

I think I should maybe make it clear that my comment was not based off of that reason.
Getting older, I am finding it easier to admit faults and sins, even to be told by hypocrites that I have them. No problem there. It’s rather helpful, whomever God has to do it. I am reminded of the Biblical account of Shimei, the son of Gera, who cursed and cast stones upon king David and his company. I will never forget David’s response. It was the right attitude to have. God can use anyone to correct us, if we need correcting, even a hypocrite.

No man is my moral teacher. God is.

    Or another person’s life...

Jeffrey Dahmer was the product of humanism, Atheism, and evolutionary theory.

What he did represents the logical conclusion of humanism and Atheism, just as Hitler, Mao, Stalin and Carl Marx also represent the logical conclusion of humanism and Atheism.

Atheists refuse to hold humanism and atheism accountable for the millions upon millions who were slaughtered, and are still being slaughter today, due to Darwin’s theory of evolution.

    Dahmer’s testimony:

“Thanks to you [dad] for sending that creation/science material because I always believed the lie that evolution is truth, that the theory of evolution is truth, that we all just came from the slime, and when we died, you know, that was it, there was nothing. So, the whole theory cheapens life, and I started reading books that show how evolution is just a complete lie. There’s no basis in science to to uphold it, and I’ve since come to believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is the true Creator of the heavens and the earth. It didn’t just happen, and I have accepted Him as my personal Lord and Savior, and I believe that I as well as everyone else will be accountable to Him

…if a person doesn’t think that there is a God to be accountable to, then what’s the point of trying to modify your behavior, to keep it within acceptable ranges, that’s how I thought anyway. I’ve since come to believe that the Lord Jesus Christ is truly God. The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit – they are the only true God.”

Suppressing the truth of the Creator leads to the devaluation of life, and Jeffrey Dahmer is one example of how evil a person can become. He is also an example that no sinner is outside the grace and mercy of a loving God.

With man nothing is possible, but with God all things are possible. God can save anybody he wants, including a mass murderer.

So, if atheists want to bring their satanic books, let them. Their books are no more than mere chaff in the wind to God. Mere nothings. God is all powerful and He can more than handle Satan, as well as save those who are under the spell of atheism. C.S. Lewis is one example.

“No philosophical theory which I have yet come across is a radical improvement on the words of Genesis, that ‘In the beginning God made Heaven and Earth’.”

Tithing represents something more than mere coinage. It represents time and effort. Sacrifice and sweat.

If one lacks actual paper and coins, one could always give the equivalent, or rather, the better thing.

To God, to the needy and poor, even to our enemy, if we don’t have money, we can give whatever we have, including our time and effort. That is love.

I am poor myself, but loneliness is worse than being poor.
Having a sacrificial spirit that actually helps lift other people’s spirits is better than handing out money, imho.

I come across so many people in this world who are lonely and/or sad. So many who are stressed out too, that could use something as simple as a kind word or hug. You could even pray with them, bringing God into the situation to help them have some measure of peace.

Money helps, but in reality, loving others goes much farther to help humans than money ever could.

“Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world.”
    - James 1:27
