As a former prosecutor and now defense attorney, I’ve had a number of thoughts about Clinton’s case, which mostly deal with tactics and logistics and not so much with the actual evidence itself. For these thoughts, I put myself in the shoes of the U.S. Attorney who gets this case dumped in his lap. What, exactly, are you dealing with? 1. Assuming the numbers hold, McCain lost. We have our first socialist regime. So where did Mac lose it? My choice is the second question of the first debate. Both candidates were asked "Do you support the bailout?" It was a hanging curveball that McCain could have smoked into the seats with a clear statement of "Here is what I support." Then he could have laid out why we were in the mess, and how we get out of it. Instead he floundered with crap about main street and wall street and other mumbo-jumbo. I knew then he was in trouble.

Reported in the Indianapolis Star, William Kristol was invited to speak at Earlham College. During his presentation, some clown of a student ran on the stage and gave him an ice cream pie in the face. The good news is that it appears that the student will be disciplined.
