Only time I crossed paths with him was when he was at an event signing baseballs (with The Mick). I had the same assignment photographing there the second day, too, so I took some childhood baseball cards. He refused to sign them, thinking I wanted to sell them.
He was my favorite foe of my Milwaukee Braves, so I forgave him. Think I did get a signed ball.
I liked the Gateway Arch...the ride up and the museum below, even though I got thrown out (ok, gently removed).
A couple years later I almost got shot by a security guard as I tried to get photographs of it from across the river. Met a nice Danish couple doing the same thing and enjoyed a dinner together.
My 35mm camera has a movable screen on the back, so last eclipse I could point camera at the sun and view on the screen to take a picture. My guess is that looking through the camera directly at the sun would be a severely bad idea.
