My Dad & 4 uncles fought in WWII. = 2 USN, 1 USMC, 1 in The Armed Guard & my Dad in USAAF.

NONE of the five would talk to me about their war, when I was assigned to do a college project on “First Person Accounts of WWII”.

About a month after his passing at 89YO, I found out that my Uncle Wayne had the “dubious distinction of” receiving 3 of his 4 Purple Hearts in ONE day.
(ALL that he had told me about that day was that, “I was issued a Victory Model 38 S&W pistol to go ashore & couldn’t hit a !@#$%^& thing with it, so I traded an alarm clock & toothpaste to a Marine for a really nice carbine.”)

Note: My uncle brought the M1 ROCKOLA carbine home with him at war’s end

I DO NOT BELIEVE IT, as there is NO such thing as “frozen pizza”.

I have seen claims to the contrary but found those claims to be 100% BOGUS.= CARDBOARD smeared with terrible sauce & a fake “cheese looking” substance.

SOUNDS like the DR is SMARTER (by a LOT) that the MISADMINISTRATION of LOONY JOE & his CLOWN CAR.

President Trump said yesterday on the JOE PAGS SHOW on WOAI AM RADIO that the wall could have been completed in just 30 more days & then we would NOT have the HUGE MESS that we are now facing.

AGREED 100%. - ALSO, do NOT shoot HOT modern ammo in either Colt’s or S&W’s pre-1930 revolvers, as MOST of them are NOT heat-treated.

For example, I have a WWI-era Colt’s Police Positive that once belonged to a “TSWCA Detective”/Special TX Ranger.
(I often shoot it but ONLY with 148 grain HB wadcutters. = REALLY, REALLY accurate little revolver is that one, out to well beyond 25M.)

FWIW, when I worked for an International agency in the early 1990s in Latin America, I routinely carried a PAIR of BHP, loaded with 147 grain JHP.
(The agency REQUIRED only 9x19mm firearms/ammo.)

A S&W Model 10 “snubbie”, loaded with 200 grain soft lead bullets, as that “long for caliber” bullet, out of a 2-3” .38SPL barrel, TUMBLES & “makes a MESS of the interior of the torso”.
(FYI, a Louisiana ME once described the wound made by that round of ammo out of a “snubbie” at close range, as a “large bloody rat hole”.

FYI, I’m old enough to remember that incident VERY WELL INDEED.
(Our family at that time lived within 60 miles of the Arkansas/Texas border & we were PROUD of the National Guard troops.)

I also remember a “little tiny Black girlchild” (I suspect that she was in the First or second Grade then.) walking between some 4-5 LARGE, MUSCULAR, Deputy US Marshals, so that she could attend public school.

I am reminded of the WISE words of “The Polish Falcon”, who was one of our senior instructors when I was a student at USAMPS’ MPOBC.
(He said to our class one day, “Gentlemen, It may possibly be that you will complete your law enforcement career without getting into a single shooting incident & are never required to use deadly force to protect yourself or another person.” [PAUSE] He continued, “It is also very possible that you will be forced to exchange gunfire with a criminal to preserve your life or another person’s life.” [PAUSE] “Should that VERY BAD DAY come into your life, you will need a gun on that WORST OF ALL days & on that day you will need a gun BADLY. ——— Thus you should always go about your daily duties armed.”

“The Falcon” told us that over 50 years ago & I have never forgotten his advice. - YES, I have had more than one of the “very bad days” that he spoke of.
(All these long years later, I still carry a handgun concealed every day.)

YES, I carry a Series 70 Colt’s Government Model 1911 concealed & generally under an untucked golf shirt with jeans, cowboy boots or boat shoes.
(The secret is the PROPER size golf shirt & the DON HUME “CONCEALER” holster, which is made to blend in with the upper body silhouette. = It pulls the Colt’s GM close to the body & is really inconspicuous.
(I’ve had other LEOs ask me why I was NOT armed & when I pointed out that I was carrying a GM, they were STUNNED.)

ImVho, small handguns are so much more difficult to shoot well & generally such POOR STOPPERS that I have returned to a FULL-SIZE Model 1911 for EDC & am about to buy a FULL-SIZE S&W semi-auto in .40 S&W caliber, too.

IF that “VERY BAD DAY” arrives, when you must defend your loved ones/yourself with DEADLY FORCE, it is well to have a firearm that will DISABLE the PREDATOR quickly.

A heavy-duty gunbelt & a quality OWB holster is the solution to carrying a FULL-SIZE handgun easily.
(NO “mouse guns” for me. Make mine a .40 S&W or a .45 ACP & in a handgun that is the size/weight of a Colt’s COMBAT COMMANDER or larger platform.)

Our TX STATE GUARD, THE TX NAVY & our RANGER SERVICE are NOT “federalize-able”.

ImVho, what we NEED to do is REFORM the old RANGER FRONTIER BATTALION & then the Governor should simply tell the Ranger CPT, Commanding to “Clean up the border area.”

I, for just ONE Texican, would rush to the border area to volunteer to help our Rangers. - TRUST ME, IF the call goes out for volunteers, Texans will RUSH to help our Rangers.
(Even at 74, I can operate a radio station, prepare/serve food/drinks, guard detainees & any number of other NON-LEO tasks to free Rangers to enforce TEXAS LAW.)
