Legendary coach John Wooden known as the Wizard of Westwood because of his success in a long career at UCLA passes away at 6:45PM(PDT)/9:45PM(EDT)at the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles.A university spokesman said that Mr.Wooden died from natural causes.

So we have made it to the home stretch of another great season on the PGA Tour. With the first event at hand, 125 players have qualified for the opportunity to win the 3rd FedEx Cup trophy and the $10 million annunity that goes along with it. My favorite week of the golf season(other than the majors of course)has FINALLY ARRIVED!!!! The world's best make their annual appearance in my back yard, if you consider 30 miles close that is!!! Firestone Country Club(the South Course)is the scene for an event that actually dates back to 1962.
