If any US citizen becomes, say, a British Subject, do they lose any US benefits? Social Security? Medicare? Since the other country does not notify the US, the individual can maintain two passports, and does continue to own property in both countries. My son who is 22 has saved up enough money for a down payment and purchased his first house today. I am so proud of him. He purchased a three family and will able to manage the mortgage easily. I am such a happy mom. There have been a couple of people on this board who have given me support and encouragement in raising four on my own after my ex needed to leave. My son is doing so well.
