  • TECH PING! Back up with WD Passport Ultra Does not Work.

I want to have two backups. One for the office and one for home. The office backup is a little Toshiba, which does very well. For the home backup I bought a Passport Ultra. I hooked it up to the machine to back up, using its own utilities and after 24 hours it had backed up less than 5%. I talked on the phone with the nice man from India. He made a suggestion. Another 24 hours. 5%. I brought it to Staples techs. They decided that it was probably encrypting everything and that is why it is taking so...

They are some of the biggest names in the Republican national security firmament, veterans of past GOP administrations who say, if called upon by President-elect Donald Trump, they stand ready to serve their country again. But their phones aren’t ringing. Their entreaties to Trump Tower in New York have mostly gone unanswered. In Trump world, these establishment all-stars say they are “PNG” — personae non gratae. Their transgression was signing one or both of two public “Never Trump” letters during the campaign, declaring they would not vote for Trump and calling his candidacy a danger to the nation.

Dear Mrs. Web, I went out to dinner with a few friends recently. Several of the guys who are my friends, were there with their fiancées. One guy has been away in the military for a long time and we were all happy to see him. His girlfriend and he were snippy with each other and over the evening their arguing became more intense. The bulk of the argument seemed to be that he didn’t get the right items when he went shopping earlier. She just kept hammering it. It was uncomfortable for everyone, and we all broke up early....

Donald Trump’s victory over Hillary Clinton came as a shock to many — and for many women who opposed Trump in particular, Clinton’s loss was personally devastating. But in the days since the election, desperation and fear have swelled into a plan for action: a “Women’s March on Washington” on January 21, the day after Trump’s inauguration and the first full day of his administration. What started as a viral idea on social media has snowballed into a potentially massive event, with more than 100,000 people already saying on Facebook that they plan to attend. It has the potential to...
  • [Vanity] Kimberly Guilfoyle-Fox News Anchor and Analyst-Press Secretary?

I ran into some conversation about Kimberly Guilfoyle from Fox News as a possible candidate for press secretary. She seems competent, but could she manage? I am not that familiar with her. Whoever takes the position needs to be a tough but flexible and the argument ran that Ingraham is too soft for the job, Monica Crowley is to rigid, but that Guilfoyle is intelligent, hard nosed but able to flex. Your thoughts?

Jeep Fans? Freeper Husbands! I am Thinking of Buying a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I like the vehicle, it is big for me, I am moving from my Golf Diesel. Although I have had Xterras and Mazda MPV (Before they ruined its design) previously. I looked at many new cars and SUV crosses and they all are poorly designed, have lousy visibility and have metal that is so thin it needs to be serviced every few months. I also discovered I need a more butch looking vehicle. All the Suv crossovers look like they were made for Oprah. Teardrop shapes...

Looking back on a Chicago childhood in the 1940s I was at a pro-life meeting in Detroit in the late 1970s, with a biologist debunking the “population problem.” He pointed out that if everyone in the world moved to Texas, there would be 1,500 square feet for every man, woman, and child. That was the size of the footprint of his house in San Francisco. Texas, with that influx of population, would still be less dense than San Francisco; and San Francisco had many open places for parks and tennis courts. When it was my turn to speak, I remarked...

Noticing that the vitriol against conservatives and their leadership has biome entrenched and permissible. Lot of moral preening and leftist activities to continue to make conservatives fearful or embarrassed to support the causes they believe in, not because there is a problem with the ideas and causes, but because conservatives are fearful of physical harm or property damage. This needs to stop and conservatives need to seize the narrative, they way that Trump did throughout the pre-election cycle. For example Barney Frank ( and why is he still above ground with a microphone?) just claimed that Trump thought that Scalia...

I am not much of a shopper. This weekend due to circumstances I did something I rarely ever do, I shopped at several mall stores in several locations. One thing I noticed right away was the change of the music in all the stores I was in. Christian and secular tunes abounded together. Silent Night, O Come O Come Emmanuel, Come Oh Ye Faithful, Whose Child is This all rocked at the mall. The clerks said Merry Christmas. There were Christmas trees and signs saying Merry Christmas. Macy's, Babies are Us, and Wal-Mart were among the stores I shopped. It...

I have a 2013 Golf TDI Diesel that I have a strong option to give back to Volkswagen. I have been waiting for the election because I have a feeling that Clinton will continue the leftist policies of crawling up gas prices. However, I have been looking for a car, just in case. My goodness! Everything out there is chock full of electronics that will make them obsolete soon. Everything out there looks like a shiny, overgrown bug. I think I need something a bit more more butch-looking. I look longingly at jeep wranglers, but I am told that they...

The following is adapted from a speech delivered on July 11, 2016, at Hillsdale College’s Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C., as part of the AWC Family Foundation Lecture Series. In the Communist Manifesto, Marx and Engels wrote that “the history of all hitherto existing societies is the history of class struggles.” Today the story of American politics is the story of class struggles. It wasn’t supposed to be that way. We didn’t think we were divided into different classes. Neither did Marx. America was an exception to Marx’s theory of social progress....

Trump Camp Needs to Blow Off Accusations as More Democrat Lies like the Governor Perry debacle when he was indicted by a Democrat AG and it derailed his election. Also like the accusations about Bush in the last weeks of his campaign. And any others that can be thought of. Clinton cannot run on substance so she runs on lies. Pound down how she lies and how the people who work for her lie. over and over. The only direct response to the allegations is: Of Course it's not true. over and over. Just like a lawyer. Just like Clinton....
  • What is Wrong with Clinton's Outfits? Looks Like a Moslim without the Hat

What is wrong with Hillary Clinton's outfits? I have noticed that she seems to go for the pants under dress and pants under long skirt look favored by the local modern Moslims (I use the word Moslims deliberately, it is the old spelling). At first I thought the outfits were designed to hide figure flaws or medical equipment, but the more I look at them the more I wonder whether there may be a religious component or a signaling to her Moslim Saud owners by wearing what no Western woman would ever wear in public. Your thoughts?

Thank you, Phoenix. I am so glad to be back in Arizona, a state that has a very special place in my heart. I love the people of Arizona and, together, we are going to win the White House in November. Tonight is not going to be a normal rally speech. Instead, I am going to deliver a detailed policy address on one of the greatest challenges facing our country today: immigration. I have just landed having returned from a very important and special meeting with the President of Mexico – a man I like and respect very much, and...
