Passport Update Background: The Department of State responded to Chris Strunk’s FOIA request for Obama’s mother’s passport applications by releasing passport records including a 1967 amendment to a 1965 passport and a request to renew that passport in 1968. The Great Birth Index Fiasco Back in February I requested to see, among other things, the hand-written birth index for 1961 (or microfilms of the hand-written index), which existed in 1980 and was required to be retained permanently. The HI State Archivist confirmed that the HDOH should have the document, but the HDOH said they didn’t have it. The entire history of that request is here. Nancy Pelosi signed one certificate of nomination which was sent to 49 states and another - saying that Obama is Constitutionally eligible - to Hawaii. People have asked why she didn't send the eligibility-certifying one to all the states, but the more pressing question is, "Why did the Hawaii Democratic Party refuse to certify Obama's eligibility?" I am clueless on the economy. But I'm hoping some of the financial wizards here at FR can help me understand something pressing: 1. Is there any way that America can protect herself from the economic sabotage/terrorism that George Soros has done in other countries? If so, what? 2. What caused the electronic run on the bank in Sept 2007? This is an example of (probably criminal) journalistic malpractice by The Hutch News - an example of how the media behaves on almost every issue including the eligibility issue. I explain why I believe the media ignores our factual corrections at its own peril. I believe this is what we need to be saying to the media whenever we find deliberate deception.

Summary: The Passport Office claims in a memo submitted with an affidavit in the Strunk case that in a 9-month period in 1984-85, 40 workers sorted through 125 million passport files and destroyed all the "routine" records from 1925-1961. Was BP2 banned? I sent a critical Freepmail to him on June 23. On June 24 he posted an innocent comment. And now when I click on his name it says the account has been banned or suspended. I sent a letter to the OIP and Ombudsman this morning, requesting an investigation into whether the HDOH illegally destroyed permanent government records. The Hawaii Department of Health claims in official communications that the original birth index and index of foreign births (which are both required to be retained permanently) don't exist. When vital records were converted to their current electronic format and the computer itself allowed sorting and locating, the HDOH submitted the old, original paper indices (VR-1)to the comptroller for a determination of what should happen to them. The comptroller agreed that those indices should be retained permanently, as originals and/or as security and search microfilms. I've added to my blog a post showing that OIP Attorney Linden Joesting, when asked point-blank on Feb 22nd whether Miss Tickly's understanding that Obama's BC was amended is correct, refused to correct MT's understanding. After 2 days of asking for clarification on the question, she responded 3 days later by saying she didn't have time to answer the question. The "Vexatious Requestor Bill" is moving forward. The Office of Taxation wants to fine people who are labeled "vexatious requestors" and Fukino has said there are 4-6 people who are all set to be labeled this. I am certain I am one of them. I added this point to my "Red Flags" article: 13. Apparently in response to this blog post and a request for a legislative investigation of these matters, Hawaii State Senator Will Espero has introduced a bill that would allow the OIP to label people who ask too many questions as “vexatious requestors” who are then blacklisted from access to government records for 2 years. The net effect of the bill would be to overturn UIPA.
