Well, I suspect that if Trump wins, Mr. Mayorkas is going to be indicted by the new AG. I suspect a raft of indictments will be going out from the new AG.

My thought is Obama knows Biden’s done. The visit was a courtesy. I think Barak knew what was in that report before a lot of people did. And I think he told Joe pretty much what was in it, and he had to step aside for the good of the party.
Naturally, Joe F’d that up, and now the Dems can’t control him because he’s a senile, angry old man with the power of the presidency.
As for Kamala? I suspect if Obama makes her the same offer, name Newsom the new VP, and step aside...I think she will take it so long as her freedom and bank account are secure.
But the problem is? They haven’t had enough time to solidify the party right now, and were they to “install” someone, there’s going to be chaos. Lots of it, and considering Newsom’s record in CA? He might not do much better via Trump. Better to potentially throw the election to Trump now and have something to run on in ‘28. Kamala can take the blame and be the “hero who tried to save us.”
In short, ‘24’s lost. 2028, with four years to run the destabilization playbook on Trump makes a lot more sense, especially if they do well enough in the down-ticket races this year?
Napoleon’s maxim about never interrupting the enemy when he is making a mistake applies here for sure. But let’s face it, Harris would be easier to beat than Biden, and that’s not saying much.

Except now, a Jello Pudding pop has more functional brain cells. Biden is off the damn leash and nobody is probably in charge because official DNC Washington is probably in a panic as to what to do.
But I wouldn’t be surprised if Dean Phillips and RFK call for him to resign soon.

And now the Dems are in panic mode. The emperor has no clothes, and now EVERYONE sees it. The fact is, the DNC is screwed. If they let things ride, Biden will try to prove (and if current events are any guide) and fail that he’s mentally competent. If they get rid of him? It will be chaos. Can you imagine a Harris administration? She’s less popular than Biden, and Trump will be able to make the case that neither one of them is fit for the job.

As a friend of mine said on Discord:
“It’s not our fault that we believed them. They genuinely thought they were! It’s their fault for convincing us!”
“Please ignore that we convinced them in the first place, or that our argument relies on adults thinking that children can be trusted to self-evaluate very complex topics.”
As liberal third rails go, this was even-handedish. There was some reference to "right-wing" and that sort of thing, but I think the left realizes it's a bridge too far...now what happens next? Get your popcorn.
