Also, and no offense to the white freepers, but dreads don't look good on white people. If you wonder what my dreads look like...family and friends in Samoa all think I look a lot like Rodney So'oialo (rugby player).
Oxy is in Eagle Rock, a suburb of northeastern Los Angeles. It’s very liberal. Obama went there for 2 years....and you would think he graduated from there based on the number of Obama related stuff the school pumps out. Jack Kemp did graduate from there and barely got any publicity from the school.
The overwhelming majority wash their dreads....and do so at least once a week. I wash mine every 3 days. One thing you must do is dry your dreads completely or you'll have to do with mildew. For this reason, I keep mine relatively short.
Their are a number of products you can use for soap/shampoo...including regular shampoo, dread-special shampoo, homemade baking soda based formulas, etc.
There are people that don't clean them and they're gross....but not as many as people think.
Besides his numerous sports calls, I also think of Michaels telling Peter Jennings that he had been had by a phony phone call during the O.J. chase:
Michaels: Peter, by the way, just for the record, this is Al Michaels. That was a totally farcical call.
....Lest anybody think that that was somebody who was truly across the street that was not. He said something in code at the end that's indicative of the mentioning of the name of a certain radio talk show.
