This reminds me of my friend who kept pretending his wife and marriage were great. We all saw it was horrible and that she was a nasty piece of work. They finally got divorced after 30 years (which was about 25 years late). He finally came around to the fact that his marriage was crap, his wife was a witch, and that he had wasted prime years of his life. People like to pretend things so much these days...I guess it’s better than reality to them.
