I agree. I have been a contractor on military bases before and the red tape and hours of documentation is nuts. We had an electronic panel get doused with steam when a pipe burst in a jet engine test facility. After drying out the panel contents and testing for functionality, they asked for someone in our company to sign off and be responsible for the $100 million dollar test if the boards didn’t work. Because the electronics had never been tested against long term effects of being sprayed down with steam, the only way we could sign off was if the entire panel was replaced with new boards at a cost of $6000 in parts alone.
Well, if the taxpayers were forced to subsidize birth control, then anyone excepting it has no right to refuse sex from a taxpayer. Government vagina anyone?
Guns are the ONLY consumer product, the ownership of which is protected by the bill of rights. So does that mean we can no longer buy ANYTHING for someone else?
Wow. I suggest we all start having our babies at home, don’t get birth certificate. Don’t get S.S. cards. Home school them and teach them skills they can do for cash. They won’t be subject to labor laws, tax laws EPA laws, or licensing! Lets see what he thinks of that!
I went to middle and high school with Tillis in south Nashville, (along with our other notable classmate, Dave Ramsey). He is a good guy and and conservative. NC could, and has done a lot worse. His little brother was also my marshal arts instructor.
He asked for permission to bypass legal procedure to search your car for a reason to charge you with something, and you let him? And he did. The police are conditioning us so that if you dare to exercise your civil rights, the hassle will not be worth it. Also to get used to seeing police in military dress with weapons of mass destruction.
I went Galt as well. Four years ago, two weeks before my fiftieth birthday, I was laid off. Decided I would no longer feed the beast. Never been happier.
I’m sorry, the Constitution and Bill of Rights have not been amended! That is what it would take to allow warrantless searches! Whatever “law” was passed to allow such a thing is completely invalid as those that passed it had not the authority to do so.
Remember the “Thingmaker” in the sixties? It was a hot plate that cured smelly liquid plastic in molds that made bugs and such. I wonder how many houses burned down from those. I remember leaving mine on and accidentally stepping on it in the dark and burning the $h!+ out of my foot.
Well then. It is an all volunteer military, and if this country is heading in that direction, I know I wouldn’t fight for it. Let the libs have the military, conservatives stay home. See how long that flies before the LIBS have to institute a draft.
