Duke coach Kara Lawson said the teams played with a men's basketball for the first half of a loss to Florida State on Sunday. The 16th-ranked Blue Devils lost to the Seminoles 70-57 in Tallahassee, Florida -- the team's second Atlantic Coast Conference loss of the season. After her team beat Pittsburgh 53-44 on Thursday, Lawson ended her news conference by speaking animatedly about Sunday's game. "This would never happen in a men's game. This would never happen," she said. "It's embarrassing for our sport."

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. -- A number of Tampa Bay Rays players decided not to wear rainbow-colored logos on their uniforms as part of the team's annual "Pride Night" on Saturday that recognized the LGBTQ community. Rays manager Kevin Cash addressed it after Sunday's game, saying he doesn't think it'll negatively impact the clubhouse because discussions among the players over the past few weeks were constructive and emphasized the value of differing perspectives. "First and foremost, I think the organization has done a really good thing to have Pride Nights supporting our gay community to come out and have a nice...

Watching Ohio State vs. Oregon State. Oregon kick returner signals for a fair catch on the one yard line. Announcer says a new rule makes this a touch back and the receiving team gets the ball on the 20 yard line. Seriously? So now a kicker who does his job and pins the opposition one their one yard line gets screwed. No more high and deep kicks. Now it will be squib kicks to make the return team run the ball out.

"I've been told I hate myself. I've been called an Uncle Tom. I've been told I'm a spook at the door," said Timothy F. Johnson, chairman of the Frederick Douglass Foundation, a group of black conservatives who support free market principles and limited government. "Black Republicans find...

WASHINGTON – President Barack Obama says he has not succeeded in bringing the country together, acknowledging an atmosphere of divisiveness that has washed away the lofty national feeling surrounding his inauguration a year ago. The president said his second-year agenda will be refocused on uniting the country around common values, "whether we're Democrats or Republicans." "We all want work that's satisfying, pays the bills and gives children a better future and security," Obama said in the interview,...
