President Obama has endorsed former Florida Gov. Charlie Crist, who held office as a Republican but switched parties after losing the 2010 Senate race, in a bid to pick off a GOP-held congressional seat. "Gov. Charlie Crist has always put people above politics — and we need more of that in Washington," Obama said in a statement released by the Crist campaign. "I know he'll bring the people's voice to Congress, and I've got his back." The Democratic National Committee confirmed the endorsement to the Washington Examiner.

A Muslim terrorist in Ohio, Mohammad Laghaoui, took hostages in an apartment complex and then opened fire with an AK-47 on an officer once she arrived on the scene. The hostages were Mohammad’s father and brother. Mohammad threatened to murder his father and brother. His brother dialed 911 and Mohammad punched his father in the face and left, only to return with an AK-47. His father and brother locked Mohamamd out. The Aquatones - My Treasure https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iw6kCf3gM8U This is a gorgeous song with the soprano voice of Lynne Nixon. This group actually only had a one-hit wonder, "You". Never heard it or them before. I do not remember hearing "You" but I ran across this song today by chance on You Tube. It made me nostalgic thinking of those days of the 50s. This was 1959 and how lovely it was back then. Peaceful, fun times. The country we had, sigh. Thought it might be fun to see what others had to share.

Washington (CNN)Maine Republican Sen. Susan Collins said she won't endorse GOP presumptive presidential nominee Donald Trump until he starts behaving more "presidential." "I would love to be able to endorse Donald Trump, but he really has to change the approach that he's taken," she told CNN's Chris Cuomo on Wednesday on "New Day." "If I were giving him advice, I would tell him he should own up to making mistakes. He should apologize to the judge and to the American people. And he should stop insulting people."

WASHINGTON — First, anti-Trump Republicans thought they could beat Donald Trump outright in the primary. Then, they thought they could hold him under the required threshold number of delegates and beat him in a floor fight at the convention. After that went out the window, some of the most ardent Trump opponents floated the idea of a third-party conservative option. But the only person who seemed like he really might do it, National Review writer David French, bowed out before it could become a reality. It seemed as though the never-Trump crowd was finally out of options.

We just got this email from TPM Reader DL. And as far as I can tell, she's right. There does not seem to be any mention of Donald Trump on the official Republican Party website, gop.com. Hillary is there. Bernie is there. George H.W.Bush is there. Reagan is there. Reagan/Bush. Lincoln is there. No Trump anywhere. Not on the blog, signups. Not anywhere that I could find. If you go to the Republican National Committee website, there is a crowded homepage with no mention of Donald Trump. I’ve been watching it for a few days. They recently had a petition...

Harvard University has deemed that any student in the class of 2021, the incoming crop of its freshmen, who joins a single-gender organization will be considered a pariah and will not be allowed to captain a single-sex sports team or be eligible for college endorsement for selective fellowships. Okay, the official edict did not mention the word pariah, but that seems to be the intention.

Musician Micah Tyler had no idea when he made a hilarious video about millennials for his church that it would catch fire the way it has. Set to the tune of the classic “Ob-La-Di, Ob-La-Da” written by Paul McCartney the singer lampoons man buns, Instagram posts and yoga pants while he sings “Gotta Love Millennials.”

A bizarre video surfaced last week on YouTube that purportedly shows something strange in the Thames River. Could it be the Thames River monster? Laypersons and biologists alike are stumped as to what the mysterious creature in the video could be. Earth Mystery News reports that it could be anything from an “alien creature” to a Russian submarine to something as mundane as a wayward whale, as the Thames River connects to the ocean and has a history of being a temporary home to lost sea creatures. Take a look at the video that’s inspired so much controversy and debate.

A pair of declarations submitted to a federal judge by the FBI late Friday in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) lawsuit brought by Vice News reveal new details about the Bureau’s “pending investigation” into Hillary Clinton’s use of a private e-mail server (“Clinton Server”) that tend to indicate the matter is far from over. In December, Vice News filed a FOIA lawsuit against the FBI seeking to obtain information related to the Clinton Server, including: 1. Any and all emails and other records retrieved from the server, thumb drive, and any other electronic equipment obtained either directly...

Bernie Sanders said Sunday he thinks he can cut into his rival Hillary Clinton's lead among super delegates in the race for the Democratic nomination - a lead that allowed Clinton to salvage her substantial loss in New Hampshire's Democratic primary last week. "If we continue to do well around the country and if super delegates - whose main interest in life is to make sure that we do not have a Republican in the White House - if they understand that I am the candidate and I believe that I am who is best suited to defeat the Republican...

As campaign suspensions, political fallout, and bitter recriminations rain down after the New Hampshire vote, what is the state of the race? I’ll handle the circus on the left first. Cirque du Socialisme: After the near even split of Iowa followed by Bernie Sanders’s 22-point trouncing of Hillary in New Hampshire, the red diaper pensioner should be in great shape, right? Not so fast. This being the Democratic Party, Feel the Berners have good reason to complain about rich, powerful interests gaming the system to keep them down.

New Yorkers can take solace in the fact that their rights to be equally disgusting, offensive and unsanitary and to publicly expose themselves to passing strangers, including children are now protected by Mayor Bill de Blasio and his city council. An assortment of quality-of-life laws are being relegated to the ranks of the non-enforced because too many minorities are being arrested under them. When an overly large percentage of the violations of a law take place among a particular minority or ethnicity, the liberals naturally assume there is something wrong with the law or those who are enforcing it. The...

WAYNE — An exorcism and a slap-down were part of a "cult-like" hazing activity in which students took on "alter egos" at William Paterson University in 2013, according to a state appeals court decision. The court described those activities by what was apparently a small, unofficial group of students in its ruling Monday, denying an appeal filed by two students, Jedediah Rockwell and Krishani Nadarajah, who were found responsible for hazing, and in one case, assault, by a university hearing board. Their appeal sought to overturn the results of the hearing. Both students were disciplined and one was suspended following...

Another nod from the left MoveOn, the progressive activist group who once received money from George Soros, has decided to endorse Bernie Sanders for the presidency, giving him yet another accolade from the left wing of the Democratic Party. Unlike some other political groups, MoveOn’s endorsement is decided by a vote of its members, with a 2/3 majority needed for the official nod to be given. MoveOn endorsed Howard Dean in 2004 and Barack Obama in 2008.

The United States will increase the number of refugees it admits to allow in more people fleeing violence in Ccentral America, Secretary of State John F. Kerry said Wednesday. In a speech at the National Defense University, Kerry said the expansion of the Refugee Admissions Program will be directed toward people from El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras, to “offer them a safe and legal alternative to the dangerous journey many are currently tempted to begin, making them easy prey for human smugglers who have no interest but their own profits.”

Hillary Clinton says that aliens may have already visited humanity. "I think we may have been [visited already]. We don't know for sure," the Democratic presidential front-runner told The Conway Daily Sun during a campaign stop in New Hampshire last week. Her comment came after being asked about her husband Bill Clinton's comments during an appearance on late-night show "Jimmy Kimmel Live" in 2014, when he suggested that extraterrestrial life could exist. "I just hope it's not like 'Independence Day,'" said Clinton, referring to the film where aliens attack earth. Hillary Clinton told a Sun reporter that she would "get...
