  • Memorial Day--My Dad

    05/24/2013 6:07:45 AM PDT · by alchemist54 · 18 replies
After my 12year odyssey with the Veterans Administration and compilation of my military records. I decided to request my Fathers Records. My Father Passed away in 1967 at age 48. I was 17 and knew very little about his war time experiences. I knew he served with the 2nd Armored Division under General Patton that he fought in North Africa, Sicily, landed on Normandy and fought till the end of the war. He talked very little about the war. The response I received from the VA was that his records were destroyed in a fire in the records division in...
  • Meaning of Memorial day

This is Memorial Day weekend, a weekend that should be dedicated to the fallen heroes of our nation’s wars but has evolved into picnics, backyard barbeques, parades, ballgames, and a myriad of other events but mostly a long weekend from work. My ancestors came to the colonies as military men given land grants in the colony of Georgia to raise militia to defend against the Spanish in Florida. They fought in all the ensuing wars up to the revolutionary war and the civil war. My grandfather rode with Teddy Roosevelt at sand Juan hill. My father was with Patton’s 2nd...

First let me say that if you like myselfe voted for a Republican-even if if made you want to puke--this is not aimed at you!!This is for all the weak willed so called Republicans who stayed home or voted for the rats. If you did not vote or voted for the rats, then please DO NOT start posting when your life gets more complicated by a democrat congress. If you bought a new home within the last 12 years especially an expensive one over $200,000 and could barly make the property tax payments just wait till the bush cuts are...
  • A.P Reporting Strickland Win in Ohio Before Polls Closed

    A.P. | 11/07/06 7:35pm | Robert Tanner
A Democrat won the Ohio governorship for the first time since 1986 as Rep. Ted Strickland easily defeated Republican Ken Blackwell in one of 36 races for states' top elected office. With 10 new governors guaranteed to come out of Tuesday's elections, state governments were in for their biggest shake-up in years _ one that had a chance of being even more tumultuous if Democrats managed to reverse years of Republican dominance. Strickland's win in Ohio was based on a statistical analysis of the vote from voter interviews conducted for The Associated Press by Edison Media Research and Mitofsky International....

A Glacier Grows, Undeterred by Heated Kyoto Debate By Patrick Goodenough CNSNews.com International Editor February 16, 2005 Pacific Rim Bureau (CNSNews.com) - Three years ago, climate change activists said that a glacier in the deep south of New Zealand was a "global warming casualty," shrinking because of the human impact on global climate patterns. This week, a company that takes visitors over the popular tourist attraction confirmed that the Franz Josef Glacier is in fact advancing, growing several meters by the day, following an unseasonably cool summer in the southern hemisphere. As the Kyoto Protocol comes into effect around the...
  • Kerry Plans to 'Be A Voice' for His Supporters

(CNSNews.com) - It is "conceivable" that Sen. John F. Kerry would run again for president in 2008, his brother Cameron told the Boston Globe on Monday. Other tidbits: Kerry may form a new political action committee to boost Democrats' fortunes in 2008; and he plans to be a "voice for the 55 million people who voted for him," Cameron Kerry told the newspaper. Kerry has been lying low since conceding the election to President Bush last week. The Boston Globe said he's back in Washington, but staying out of public view.

James S. Henry, of Sag Harbor, N.Y., was charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest without violence. Sheriff's Deputy Al Cinque tried to stop Henry as he shot pictures of about 600 people standing in line to vote Sunday afternoon. Henry began running away, but Cinque tackled him, the Palm Beach Post reported. The...

The wife and I have been traveling around SW Ohio and just in the last week we have noticed a LOT of kerry/Edwards signs placed in road medians, right of ways and on vacent property inside most city limits. Is this legal? Isn't this like the city government endorsing candiates? How can this be stopped?

He was a patriot. He led forces in the critical capture of an enemy position early in the war effort. Five months later, this American commander led an expedition of 1,150 riflemen against an enemy's capital city. The American commander drove his men hard through the wilderness, overcoming leaky boats, spoiled provisions, treacherous rivers and near starvation to arrive at the capital in November, his force reduced to 650 men. He fought on. Joining with another unit he pressed the attack to another key enemy city where his troops took heavy losses and he himself was wounded. As he charged...

We make jokes about it but the truth is this presidential election really offers us a choice of two well-informed opposing positions on every issue. OK, they both belong to John Kerry, but they're still there. -- Jay Leno "John Kerry has promised to take this country back from the wealthy. Who better than the guy worth $700 million to take the country back? See, he knows how the wealthy think. He can spy on them at his country club, at his place in Palm Beach, at his house in the Hamptons. He's like a mole for the working man."...
  • Kerry on Outsourcing jobs and the middle class

    10/20/2004 11:25:55 AM PDT · by alchemist54 · 22 replies · 274+ views
I have to believe that Senator Kerry understands the middle class and the poor, about as much as he understood the Vietnam War. And cares about them about as much as he did the brave young American soldiers he branded for life with his lies. So what does he have in common with the working man? Has John Kerry ever done manual labor? Has he ever cleaned bathrooms with people of color? Has he ever really considered how the average person really lives? Does he even have a clue? Senator Kerry stated President Bush is to blame for US companies...
  • What a Medal Of Honor winner and former P.O.W. has to say about John Kerry

    10/20/2004 11:17:39 AM PDT · by alchemist54 · 23 replies · 776+ views
The following is a letter to Joe Scarborough and John O'Neil from Medal of Honor Recipient and former POW Colonel Bud Day. Dear Joe: The major issue in the Swiftboat stories is, and always has been, what John Kerry did in 1971 after he returned from Vietnam. Kerry cast a long dark shadow over all Vietnam Veterans with his outright perjury before the Senate concerning atrocities in Vietnam. His stories to the Senate committee were absolute lies.. fabrications.. perjury.. fantasies, with NO substance. That dark shadow has defamed the entire Vietnam War veteran population, and gave "Aid and Comfort" to...

Hey everyone know how we all feel helpless when it comes to fighting the big media outlets? Well what if every person on freeper bought one(1) share each of the stock of ABC,NBC,CBS,CNN and other broadcasting groups. Then choose a spokesperson and give them proxy to vote the shares as a block--if only 10,000 people did this we could effectively clog up stockholder meetings and have the muscle to at least do something.

I thought a few quotes from our founding fathers might be appropriate: "Those who would give up essential Liberty to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." -- Ben Franklin, Respectfully Quoted, p. 201, Suzy Platt, Barnes & Noble, 1993 "If a nation values anything more than freedom, it will lose its freedom; and the irony of it is that, if it is comfort or money it values more, it will lose that too." -- William Somerset Maughan, 1941 "A democracy cannot exist as a permanent form of government. It can only exist until the voters discover...
  • Cable Channel Dumps Michael Moore's '9/11'

Saturday, Oct. 16, 2004 10:57 a.m. EDT Cable Channel Dumps Michael Moore's '9/11' The cable pay-per-view company iNDEMAND has backed away from a plan to show a three-hour election eve special with filmmaker Michael Moore that included the first television showing of his film "Fahrenheit 9/11." Story Continues Below The company said Friday it would not air "The Michael Moore Pre-Election Special" due to "legitimate business and legal concerns." A spokesman would not elaborate. Moore has just released his movie on DVD and was seeking a TV outlet for the film, which sharply criticizes President Bush, as close to the...

Sinclair vs. Sundance The Sundance Film Channel is the most political — and most anti-Bush — of them all. By William P. Kucewicz Liberals, claiming the Sinclair Broadcast Group is trying to "tip" the presidential election, are enraged by plans to air a documentary critical of John Kerry's 1970s antiwar activities. The anti-Kerry exposé, however, pales in comparison to the current political high jinks at Robert Robert's Sundance film channel. Organizing what amounts to a Dump George Bush film festival, the Sundance Channel, which is under Redford's "creative direction" but is operated by Viacom's Showtime Networks, is preempting its scheduled...

Navy SEAL examines Kerrys Military Record SEALED MILITARY RECORD? by A. L. "Steve" Nash Unlike McCain, Bush, and Gore, Kerry has adamantly refused to authorize the release of his military records. Most think it's because of his phony battle medals. I think the real reason is below. He was not granted an Honorable Discharge until March 2001, almost 30 years after his ostensible service term had ended! This is very much out of the ordinary, and highly suspect. There are 5 classes of Discharge: Honorable, General, Other Than Honorable, Bad Conduct, and Dishonorable. My guess is that he was discharged...

Voted against parental consent for minors. Voted against ban on Partial Birth Abortion (3 times) Voted against ban on sending money to UN population fund if the money was sent to pay for China forced abortion and sterilization policy.
