A University of Washington global health expert said the United States could reach a coronavirus death toll higher than that of the historic 1918 Spanish Flu as the virus continues to spread at a fast rate. According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), it is estimated that the Spanish Flu pandemic killed about 675,000 people in the United States. On Thursday morning, data from UW's Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) indicated the U.S. could reach a death toll of more than 399,000 deaths by Feb. 1, 2021. If safety mandates are relaxed, the country could see 514,000...

Governor Jay Inslee finally loosened some of his inconsistent and non-sensical coronavirus restrictions. Before you celebrate, know this brazen announcement is transparently self-serving. In a Tuesday afternoon press conference, one day before the only gubernatorial debate he’d agree to, Inslee announced he’d relax a handful of restrictions so businesses like restaurants and movie theaters could reopen at either greater capacity or under less onerous mandates.

Gov. Inslee brought with him some honeycrisp apples grown at the Governor’s Mansion in Olympia to give to people in Omak, Malden, and Bridgeport during a tour last week to survey the fires. But it turns out those apples were infested with apple maggot larvae, according to the Douglas County Facebook page... Apple maggots, if not controlled, could cause serious problems for orchardists in Douglas County. Governor Inslee released a statement, as obtained by KING5, about the gaffe. In part, “We regret this mistake. This a good reminder of the importance of awareness around apple quarantine.” But not everyone is...

At least three Democratic governors said they will not follow new federal guidance on coronavirus testing. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recently revised COVID-19 testing guidelines, now advising people who may have been exposed to the virus but are not experiencing symptoms that they may not need to be tested. “If you have been in close contact (within 6 feet) of a person with a COVID-19 infection for at least 15 minutes but do not have symptoms: You do not necessarily need a test unless you are a vulnerable individual or your health care provider or State...

SEATTLE — Just hours after President Donald Trump announced emergency authorization to treat COVID-19 patients with convalescent plasma, a move he called "a breakthrough," Seattle researchers voiced skepticism about its effectiveness to treat the deadly virus. "This is just a gigantic exaggeration. I've been using this for my patients in ICUs across Seattle since March. It's pretty widely available. Do we think there is possibly a benefit? Yes we do. Do we think it's harmful? Probably not. Is it a miracle cure? Definitely not," said Dr. Vin Gupta of the University of Washington’s Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, immediately...

Gov. Inslee says businesses in Washington will not be allowed to serve customers who are not wearing a face covering as of Tuesday, July 7. "When we wear a mask, it is a signal about something about us, it is a signal we care about the community, we care about our loved ones, we care about those we are doing business with," said Gov. Inslee.

On June 20, 2020, Washington Governor Jay Inslee held a press conference claiming that Yakima was being overwhelmed by the corona virus. Given that in the past, Inslee claimed 2 million people would be killed in the US by the corona virus – and that hospitals in Washington state would be overwhelmed by the corona virus, it is amazing to me that anyone still believes anything this guy says. For those with short memories,...

For the second time in about a month, Washington state leaders have completely changed how they track and report key metrics in fighting the COVID-19 pandemic. Two weeks ago, as we noted, the previous dashboard with five dials proved to be largely useless, inaccurate, and irrelevant. Soon afterward, state officials stopped updating the dials and now they have abandoned them entirely. The new dashboard the governor has put up is, potentially, an improvement. For example, where his old dashboard with the dials claimed daily testing for COVID-19 was improving, saying the amount of testing was “very roughly steady,” his new...

BREAKING NEWS … According to Senator Ann Rivers (18th Legislative District), whose office was briefed today by the Employment Security Department (ESD), the unemployment check fraud case is now approaching $1 billion in lost state funds. Originally, the suspected fraud loss was $350 million. “The ESD fraud case is beyond anything originally suspected,” said Rivers. “Nearly $1 billion has been lost to Nigeria and other fraudsters.”

The word “science” has been hollowed out by politicians, who have stripped it of its substance and power and replaced them with emotional pabulum. These politicians discard the scientific method and deploy the term merely as a weapon against their opponents.

They will track you and tell you what you can and cannot do. You will be a puppet of the state. You must do what they say for the greater good. Freedom will be lost forever.

It is no secret that Washington State Governor Inslee is deeply offended by the fact that so many Washingtonians refuse to blindly obey his emergency proclamations. He has complained about his “insubordinate” subjects to the tame media. Reportedly, he has been enraged when local sheriffs have refused to arrest anyone who defy his random orders and dictates (approved by no elected body in this state), and this is why the Snohomish County Sheriff is facing a recall election effort mostly from Inslee supporters right now. Some observers are speculating that this move by Inslee’s politicized followers at L&I is an...

The Oregon Supreme Court on Saturday issued a deadline to the Baker County judge who this week granted a preliminary injunction nullifying Oregon governor’s emergency coronavirus orders: Either throw out the injunction by 5 p.m. Tuesday or explain why he should not do so.

Washington State Governor Inslee read the script prepared by his staff last week on Wednesday May 12, 2020 during his “press” conference announcement. While Inslee will be the face of the state’s virus policies, few believe he actually acquires these goofy ideas on his own. Every politician is controlled by advisors, and Jay Inslee is no exception. However, there must be a sliver of doubt in Inslee’s inner circle, somewhere, that he is not just making a major, catastrophic mistake, but that he is approaching the policy cliff and plans stepping off into the policy abyss – unless someone changes...

On April 21st the Washington Post savaged Georgia governor Brian Kemp’s decision to begin opening his state after locking down for weeks. “Georgia leads the race to become America’s No. 1 Death Destination,” sneered the headline. The author, liberal pundit Dana Milbank, actually found the possibility of Georgians dying to be hilarious, suggesting that, “as a promotion, Georgia could offer ventilators to the first 100 hotel guests to register.” Milbank, who is obviously still getting paid while millions are out of work, sees his job as pushing the mainstream narrative that we must remain in fear and never question what...

Steve Sexton Yesterday at 2:15 PM · https://berniesanders.com/ Must watch the interview with Gov. Inslee. He starts at the 44:15 mark. The following is the text of the letter I am sending to him today. May 15, 2020 Governor Jay Inslee P.O. Box 40002 Olympia, WA 98504-0002 Governor Inslee: As the Mayor of the City of Burlington, I have supported your Stay home…Stay safe order from the beginning. As difficult as it has been, it was in the beginning a necessary move. I had trust in your reasons for implementing the order. But, after watching the interview you did with...

Skagit County judge refuses to enforce seat belt law MOUNT VERNON -- A Skagit County Superior Court judge has refused to enforce the state's seat belt law, finding it too vague. That decision also led the judge to dismiss drug and weapons charges filed in the same case. Judge Susan Cook ruled that the seat belt law is unconstitutionally vague because it refers to federal safety standards regarding which vehicles must be equipped with seat belts. "This statute fails to inform the average citizen of the location or legal citation of the federal standard it adopts," she wrote in a...

Police should not be able to stop and ticket motorists solely because they aren't wearing a seat belt, a new initiative group says. The Washington Seatbelt Coalition will begin gathering signatures next week to put a portion of the state's seat-belt law on the ballot. The group wants to undo the state Legislature's decision last year allowing police to stop and cite motorists who aren't buckled up even if they're not suspected of any other violation. Before June 2002, failure to wear a seat belt was a secondary infraction. That meant police could cite motorists for the seat-belt violation only...
