  • When will it ever be enough?

Two more police officers have been shot in the line of duty. That makes 3 killed by gunfire, 4 killed with cars, and 2 more remain in critical condition after being shot. That is JUST this year and it's ONLY January. When is enough, enough? When will the rest of us get tired of our "front line" being killed because of the job they do and the uniform they wear? The time is long past due for "we the people" to decide that criminals should NOT be mollycoddled, their rights encased in solid gold while ours and those of police...

For all you Georgia demonRATs who voted for that carpetbagger, Stacy Abrams...thanks for absolutely nuthin'. You are proof that there are just some people too stupid to vote. You might have handed this state to a woman who has run in two other states that proved too smart to buy her garbage. But you did! Congrats on being the dumbest voters in the country! Abrams is everything (without missing a single thing) that is wrong with politicians. And I won't even go for how fat and ugly she is, or how the hole in her head is bigger than the...
  • Racism on Atlanta PD- vanity

Son just got back from the Atlanta police job fair. He was rejected immediately for some nautical tattoos he has on his arm. He got his artwork over the 10 years he has spent as a merchant marine and they are easily hidden. Funnily enough, he was able to eavesdrop long enough to hear a black man, covered in what looked like "gang tats" that HIS wouldn't be a problem. My son is a good, honest family man and a hard worker. Atlanta turned its back on a guy who worked hard to obtain a captain's license and certificates for...

I got this in an email and it sounded like such a good idea that I thought I would share it. Subject: You're one of my 20 people, Your part of my 20 people, hoping you will send this on to your 20 so we get this out before November If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people (in the U.S. ) to receive the message. Maybe it is time. THIS IS HOW YOU FIX CONGRESS!!!!! A friend sent this along to me. I can't think of a reason...

This is excellent reading. I would only add a couple of things here. Under "Health care", I would also add a tax incentive to insurance companies for devising affordable plans for pre-existing conditions. Under "Social Security", I would absolutely add means-testing for those with private retirement incomes over $50,000/year. These folks don't need social security assistance. I would also add tax incentives for those workers who opt for a private retirement account.
  • Why can't we demand Obama's resignation?

Please forgive the vanity post- I know you all hate them. But I am driven to ask this question- WHy cannot the people demand the resignation of this totallly incompetent man? And not just him- ALL his appointees and czars, AND his SC appointees, as well. In 1973, the media, backed by a handful of leftist activists, drove Nixon from office- who had been elected in a landslide that the demonRATs can only dream of. The majority of the people did not want this to happen, but it happened anyway. Now it is the PEOPLE who want this man and...

I just wanted to let you all know some of the companies that have cancelled their sponsorship of Glenn Beck's show because of a left wing attack and threat of boycott. "Among the advertisers to pull spots from the popular cable talk show are Geico, owned by Warren Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway; Procter & Gamble; Sargento Cheese; and Progressive Insurance , according to the companies and Color of Change, one group that is organizing a campaign against the program." I got these names from Market Watch. I am not suggesting what you should do, but I will be contacting these companies...

Please forgive the vanity post, but I am moved to say something about the movie "Taking Chance". I was completely unaware of this movie until yesterday and admit to some trepidation as I rented it. I distrust Hollywood's treatment of our military and especially their treatment of our war dead, so was expecting something completely different than what I watched last night. The movie is reverential and touching and shows the love that REAL Americans actually feel for our soldiers. I admit that my estimation of Kevin Bacon has taken a new high and his portrayal of the Marine officer...

Please excuse the "vanity", but I wish to offer an idea. The republican party has had to tolerate the infestation of leftists in their primaries. They gave us John McCain last time, if you will recall. In the next election, they are likely to do it again. At any rate, who runs from the rep side doesn't matter much (now). What I suggest is that we all cross over to commit a bit of chaos of our own- vote in the dem primary. I am absolutely sure that THEY are absolutely sure that BO will be their candidate, and he...

Global Socialists Toast Victory over America AIM Column | By Cliff Kincaid | November 16, 2008 ...the growing anger over the endless series of taxpayer bailouts is getting louder and louder. The American people may be losing their jobs and savings, but on Friday night, on the eve of the international financial summit, they provided President Bush and other G20 leaders a lavish banquet that included $300-a-bottle wine, Vermont Brie, eggplant fondue, and rack of lamb. Details of the “culinary delights” and “sumptuous feast” provided to the politicians who departed their black limousines were included in wire service stories. They...

ACORN Cracks Wide Open Carl Horowitz Saturday, August 09, 2008 The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now, or ACORN, is a network of nonprofit community groups formed nearly 40 years ago on the premise that banks, corporations and insurance companies, immersed in greed, have kept poor and predominantly minority neighborhoods desperate. Within the past couple months, however, its leaders have been engaged in the more mundane task of spinning a scandal that already has claimed its most visible leader. To longtime ACORN critics, it’s a case of belated just deserts. At the center of this storm are ACORN co-founder...

Obama Supports Global Tax From United Nations Christine O'Donnell Friday, August 08, 2008 For an entire week, Americans watched as Senator Barack Obama took his act on the road, courting the European elitists and cowtowing to an endless array of foreign politicians. At this point it may be easy to take Obama’s “celebri-plomacy” lightly. Yet, his trip highlights a dangerous threat to America’s national sovereignty in the form of his globalist policies that will diminish America’s role in the world and outsource decisions of vital national interest to the United Nations. His Global Poverty Act, currently under consideration in Congress,...

I am in the process of reading "Murdered by Mumia" by Michael Smerconish and Officer Faulkner's widow, Maureen. I knew something of the case, as I had previously done a little surfing around the net, my interest sparked by the fact that I am married to a cop. Before the book, there was little information other than that posted by Mumia's supporters which gets a bit tedious. From that point, I lost interest, until a sound bite I saw on the news when Mrs. Faulkner's book was released. In this bite Mike Farrell, the actor, was smarmily telling the reporter...

The History Channel is running a pretty good special on the assorted groups behind the 9-11 conspiracy theories. I decided to take a look at some of these sites, particularly the site devoted to the "documentary" called "Loose Change". This is the one that Charlie Sheen is supposed to be considering narrating. What I found was the usual collection of goofballs, morons and runaway nutjobs. It seems no amount of factual information can influence these people. What they display is the expected amount of self-delusional fantasies and paranoia. What I found that I DID'T expect (but should have) was that,...

Islamists as run-of-the-mill socialists: or, what I learned at my Oxford Union debate Jonah Goldberg LAST month, I participated in a debate at the Oxford Union. It was a delightful affair. I stayed in a lovely hotel. The debate was black tie, preceded by a cocktail party and a formal dinner with "freedom fries" on the menu (a nod to the visiting Americans in the last days before the Sarkozy Restoration). The whole place swarmed with comely British lasses in evening dresses and earnest, larval Tony Blairs eagerly calling me "sir." Everything was wonderful, except of course that I was...
