The anti-government protests targeting government and religious leaders sweeping across Iran took a bloody turn Sunday as overnight reports surfaces of two protestors being killed at the hands of the corrupt government. Disgustingly, the deaths didn’t trigger much air on the three major American networks. ABC’s Good Morning America had a blackout of the deaths and protests all together while NBC only found 24 seconds for them. CBS finally discovered the protests, as they continued into their fourth day, dedicating a meager 16 seconds. Instead of allowing serious time for the brutal murders of Iranian civilians and the protests, whose...

After CBS initially ignored the Iranian people’s uprising against their oppressors from Thursday to Saturday, and then downplayed the murder of two protesters and shootings of others earlier on Sunday, White House Correspondent Major Garrett finally dedicated some sort of significant time to the subject (two minutes 31 seconds) for the network when he was filling in on Face The Nation. Unfortunately, he only brushed over the details and questioned if President Trump should be speaking out in support of the people fighting for freedom. Garrett began the show with an interview with Senator Lindsey Graham (R-SC), and before getting...

During ABC’s World News Tonight on Wednesday, the network demonstrated just how well they could stick to the Democratic Party’s talking points. “The biggest tax cuts will go to the wealthy, corporate America,†boldly declared sensationalist anchor David Muir as he was coming on the air. While he was quick to continue the liberal echo chamber, he cast doubt on the Republicans’ promise of economic growth. “But will that happen? Not everyone is convinced,†he chided before handing the report over to Senior White House Correspondent Cecilia Vega.Vega began her segment on the tax reform victory by sneering at Republicans...

After making completely false claims about the GOP tax reform bill on ABC’s Good Morning America earlier on Sunday, Clinton lackey George Stephanopoulos spent most of This Week leading the discussion tearing it down. After spending a couple minutes smearing the bill in his opening monologue, Stephanopoulos interviewed Texas Republican Senator John Cornyn where one of his first questions involved allegations GOP leaders bought off Tennessee Senator Bob Corker with a real estate provision: There's a lot more scrutiny of the bill, which was just released on Friday in these final hours. Including an article in the International Business Times,...

Congressional Republicans were one step closer to realizing their hopes for tax reform on Thursday as it appeared as though the House and Senate had reconciled nearly all of the legislation. Hearing the recommendations and concerns of the public, the Republicans preserved the current tax codeÂ’s deductions for student loans, medical bills, and added a $10,000 cap for state and local taxes. But of the three major network news outlets, NBC was the only one that left them out of their evening broadcast. Instead of reporting what was known to be in the GOP tax reform bill, NBC Nightly News...

In an extensive piece published by The Intercept on Saturday, co-founder of the news site Glenn Greenwald excoriated CNN (as well as a host of other news outlets) for recklessly advancing agenda driven stories involving the Russia investigation, with no transparency when the stories blow up in their face and go viral with fake news. Greenwald began by noting how “Friday was one of the most embarrassing days for the U.S. media in quite a long time.â€â€œThe humiliation orgy was kicked off by CNN, with MSNBC and CBS close behind, with countless pundits, commentators and operatives joining the party throughout...

The Sunday morning shows were dominated by the liberal media’s wild fantasies regarding what was to come next in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia investigation after Michael Flynn’s plea deal on Friday. But during an appearance on ABC’s This Week, former Attorney General for George W. Bush, Michael Mukasey wrote off the media’s hopes and dream of something much bigger coming down the pike as just “speculation†and “heavy breathing†on their part. When describing what the plea deal meant for the investigation, Mukasey told Clinton lackey George Stephanopoulos: “What I made of it is that a lot of the...

With the Senate GOP on the verge of passing their version of tax reform on Thursday, NBC Nightly News continued their week-long series where they claimed to break down the tax bills. But in reality, they only sought to stoke the fears of those who weren’t familiar with it. “Once aligned with the House version, it will affect your take-home pay as it adds new credits, takes away some popular deductions and slashes corporate taxes,†announced Anchor Lester Holt at the top of the program, as Capitol Hill Correspondent Kasie Hunt bemoaned how Democrats had no input. After Holt suggested that...

With the national discussion centered on sexual harassment and sexual assault, many in the liberal media had been itching to get to the allegations directed at the President. The media seemed to have recently gotten the ‘okay’ to pursue the claims when Hillary Clinton brought them up in a radio interview. It’s hypocritical for Clinton to lead the charge because of her philanderer husband with a rape charge. But that wasn’t a problem for NBC’s Sunday Today who disregarded it using Clinton’s defense. Anchor Willie Geist kicked off the show by hyping how the claims of sexual misconduct had made...

Last week, The Washington Post reported that Alabama Senate candidate Roy Moore allegedly pursued relationships with teenagers when he was in his 30s and that he allegedly molested a 14-year-old girl. It was the latest in the avalanche of recent sexual misconduct allegations sweeping the nation. And while many believed the claims, other took them with a grain of salt citing the timing as suspicious. On Sunday’s Good Morning America, ABC’s Martha Raddatz used her analysis to express her frustration and contempt for such people. “I don't really know what those voters are waiting for,†she huffed. ABC’s Chief Global...

ABCs make-believe Republican, Matthew Dowd was on a tear Sunday morning during his appearance on This Week’s “Powerhouse Roundtable.†While there, he continued his exhausted criticism of President Trump but he set his eyes on a new target: White House Chief of Staff General John Kelly. And according to Dowd, Kelly’s defense of President Trump’s call to a gold star widow meant people should start to question his intelligence. Before handing the floor to Dowd, fill-in Moderator Martha Raddatz noted that her guest found parts of Kelly’s comments “especially troubling.†He did mention that he was moved by Kelly’s touching...

Over the weekend, instead of reporting on the Puerto Rico relief efforts and how they were crippled by circumstance, the liberal media chose to champion the anti-Trump criticism from Democratic San Juan Mayor Carmen Yulin Cruz. After President Trump pushed back against the criticism, the media sensed blood in the water and went all in. On Sunday’s Good Morning America, ABC Correspondent David Wright touted public outrage at the President, including one actor claiming Trump was going to Hell. Part way through his report highlighting anti-Trump criticism over his Puerto Rico response, Wright raised up the scathing tweet written by...

The Supreme Court ruling on Aereo is out, and the court has ruled against the upstart company and in favor of TV broadcasters. In a 6-3 decision, the Supreme Court reversed a lower court decision that had ruled in favor of Aero, a service that lets you stream live network TV. The court found that Aereo's service violated the copyrights of live network TV stations. "This ruling appears sweeping and definitive, determining that Aereo is illegal," the lawyer Tom Goldstein wrote on SCOTUSBlog. The case will have lasting implications for the way content is delivered online. Aereo's technology uses special...

Speaking at a gathering of digital advertisers in New York City last night, Mr Schmidt refused to forecast when internet video would displace television, instead declaring: "That's already happened." "It's not a replacement for something that we know," he added. "It's a new thing that we have to think about, to program, to curate and build new platforms." YouTube recently surpassed the milestone of a billion unique users a month. Only the Google search engine and social network Facebook are frequented more often by those browsing the internet worldwide. However, the video site lags behind traditional television in the UK,...

Aereo could kill TV business model, broadcasters sayBy Andrew Feinberg - 05/11/12 01:22 PM ET Barry Diller's upstart Aereo service, which lets paying customers record and watch over-the-air television stations online, could destroy the economic model behind television, an NBC-Universal exec said in a court filing. Aereo is being sued by all of the major television broadcasters in federal court in New York, where the service was launched. In a sworn declaration, NBC-Universal executive vice president for content distribution Matt Bond said Aereo could alter how cable and satellite companies handle traditional TV stations. He said Aereo could let the...

The Suits Are Scared: Obama's Plan To Take Over Broadcast Television. I'm in New York tonight, and just back in my hotel room after watching Obama's news conference performance. I had a front row seat in my old network's main conference room. Us old retired TV newsie types are normally relegated to the back row of the bus, but due to my Elder Statesman / retired Crusading Reporter status, (and the fact that I bought two rounds at dinner) I was granted special dispensation to sit up front with "The Suits." "The Suits" is network parlance for the bosses from...

Broadcast television is fading into oblivion. Just two web sites, Google and Yahoo!, now account for more advertising revenues than do the prime time schedules of the three traditional television networks - ABC, CBS, and NBC - combined. In contrast to the explosion in e-commerce, broadcast TV viewers are fleeing to cable programming, which now easily beats broadcast TV in the ratings. And those left to watch broadcast programs don’t stick around for the commercials. Remote controls, VCRs, and the growing popularity of personal digital recorders are rendering the 60-second TV spot a quaint black white video clip. In some...

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) - Bill Gates (news - web sites) predicts a future for the entertainment industry in which traditional broadcast television is rendered irrelevant. It's a positive vision, however, because new and better business models made possible by technology are emerging. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, the Microsoft Corp. chairman and chief software architect, recalled a conversation in 1991 during which Larry Tisch was having buyer's remorse over his investment in CBS, noting that the impending changes were evident even then. "Broadcast TV is under a challenge. That's news to no one," Gates said. "You know,...

The US version of BBC sitcom Coupling has been banned by two local stations because of its sexual content. The stations - WNDU in South Bend, Indiana and KSL in Salt Lake City, Utah - are affiliated to national network NBC, which made the show. NBC has remade the cult hit British comedy, about six friends, with the first episode to be shown on Thursday. WNDU said the sexual jokes "push the envelope well beyond the boundaries of our community's standards". The station's managers said they were "disappointed and uncomfortable" with the content. NBC has admitted the show is "provocative"...
