Russian President Vladimir Putin reportedly said his country is willing to offer former FBI Director James Comey political asylum if he is prosecuted in the U.S. for leaking his memos on his private conversations with President Trump. According to a translation by RT, a Russian-controlled television network, Putin said Comey's leaks put him "in a vulnerable position." He compared the former FBI director to NSA whistleblower Edward Snowden, who currently has asylum in Russia. Comey, like Snowden, acted as an "activist," Putin said.

CNN sister network TNT will be sponsoring the final two performances this weekend of the Trump assassination play Shakespeare in the Park production of Julius Caesar by the Public Theater in New York City’s Central Park. The cable network is using the sponsorship of the graphic assassination of President Donald Trump on stage to promote a new series about Shakespeare, Will, scheduled to premiere on July 10. The announcement follows the recent loss of sponsorships and controversy surrounding the Oskar Eustis-helmed production, which depicts Caesar as a Trump-like politician.

Listening to Fox News, the gun the shooter used has been identified as an SKS with 7.62 X 39 ammo, with a scope, and called a "high powered rifle." A gunman believed to be a supporter of former Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders sprayed a hail of bullets at a GOP baseball practice Wednesday morning, critically wounding House Majority Whip Steve Scalise and injuring four others before U.S. Capitol Police took down the rifle-wielding assailant. Scalise was in critical condition Wednesday afternoon, MedStar Washington Hospital tweeted. He had surgery after being shot in the hip and was initially said to be stable.

The gunman who opened fire on a Republican congressional baseball practice session this morning has been identified as a Trump-hating Bernie Sanders supporter.  Sixty-six-year-old James T. Republican Representative Steve Scalise, the House Majority Whip, and his aides were shot during baseball practice on Wednesday morning. Rep. Scalise is a pro-Second Amendment and has an A rating from the NRA. Liberal hacks immediately began attacking Scalise and the NRA.
