Milo Yiannopoulos — the infamous internet troll, Donald J. Trump supporter and editor at Breitbart News — has compared Islam unfavorably to cancer, mocked transgender people and suggested that women who are harassed online should stay off the web. Last July, he was permanently barred from Twitter for violating the platform’s rules against hate speech and harassment.

As the debate over Russian hacking efforts during the presidential campaign continues, voters here generally approve of the job U.S. intelligence agencies are doing but also suspect that they play politics. The latest Rasmussen Reports national telephone and online survey finds that 47% of Likely U.S. Voters believe America’s intelligence agencies have their own political agenda.  Thirty-nine percent (39%) disagree and think they generally perform impartially. Fifteen percent (15%) are undecided. 

The FBI quietly released nearly 300 pages of records from its investigation of Hillary Clinton’s private email server on Sunday night. This is the fifth release of Clinton investigation records from the FBI. The documents deal with the handling of computer hardware collected from Clinton’s lawyers for the investigation and also contain emails from FBI officials discussing the classification of Clinton’s emails. Congress certified Donald Trump's presidential victory over the objections of a handful of House Democrats. All 538 electors met in their respective state capitals in December to cast their votes. The vote count made it official. Vice-president Joe Biden presided over the count in his role as president of the Senate. Trump finished with 304 electoral votes and Democrat Hillary Clinton got 227. There were seven protest votes for other candidates. It takes 270 Electoral College votes to win the presidency.

Esteban Santiago, reportedly a U.S. citizen with military identification, is accused of being the shooter who randomly gunned down at least 13 people at a Fort Lauderdale airport baggage claim area. President-elect Donald Trump on Thursday picked former Indiana Senator Dan Coats as director of national intelligence, two sources briefed on the decision told Fox News.
