Can't publish the article because of copywrite issues, but Medved pretty much formally endorsed Hillary Clinton in his last op-ed in USA Today. For a rollicking good time check out his barf-fest opinion piece on 19 October. In the article, he bitches about all of the negative calls, emails, and correspondence he’s being getting. GOOD! He’s dead to me. Hope his show withers away like Beck’s.

COLUMBIA, MS (WDAM) - In the wake of a shooting of two Hattiesburg officers, it is also National Police Week. This week is a time dedicated to honoring the courage of current officers as well as saluting the sacrifice of fallen heroes. Hunter Owens, 9, of Columbia, wanted to say thank you to his local heroes by passing out “survival kits” to law enforcement officers in the area. --- snip The kits include different candies and expressions, like 'Life Savers: To remind you of the many times you've been one' and ‘Mounds: for the mounds of courage you need.'

A 19-month-old boy critically injured when a police device was tossed into his bed has a 50 percent chance of surviving, his parents said today. But a northeast Georgia sheriff defends the officers’ actions, calling it a tragic accident. “The last thing you want is law enforcement to injure someone innocent,” Habersham County Sheriff Joey Terrell told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “There was no malicious act performed. It was a terrible accident that was never supposed to happen.” Hours after a confidential informant said he bought methamphetamine from Wanis Thometheva at a Habersham County home late Tuesday, officers returned to the...

President Obama has been branded the ‘Groveller-in-Chief’ after giving an exaggerated bow to Japan’s emperor Akihito - the son of the ruler who authorised the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. Coming so soon after Remembrance Day, the deep bow caused an outcry in the U.S. While it was seen as a sign of respect in Japan, Mr Obama was attacked in America for ‘bowing and scraping’ to a foreign leader, particularly a Japanese one. Wartime scars are still raw for many Americans. The 6ft 2in President’s mark of deference to the 5ft 5in emperor in Japan on Saturday dominated discussion...

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) criticized President Barack Obama Wednesday for failing to take a strong leadership role in voicing opposition to the election results in Iran. “I do not believe that the president is taking the leadership that is incumbent upon an American president, which we have throughout modern history, and that is to advocate for human rights and freedom, and free elections are one of those fundamentals,” McCain said during an interview on CNN. McCain said the president “obviously doesn’t agree” that Iranians have the right to protest the election results as a “fundamental principle.” “We are seeking, as...

The federal sentencing of three ex-Atlanta police officers for the illegal drug raid that left a 92-year-old woman dead closes only one chapter in the tragic case, the Atlanta Police Department said Wednesday. ... Carnes imposed the most severe sentence — 10 years — on Smith, 36, who obtained the illegal, no-knock search warrant allowing officers to batter down Johnston’s door. A terrified Johnston, thinking she was victimized by a home invasion, fired a warning shot through the door. Narcotics officers responded with a hail of gunfire, killing her. ...

NOBLESVILLE, Ind. (AP) - A Hamilton County sheriff's deputy faces a lawsuit for using a Taser on a woman who refused to put down her cell phone after she was stopped on suspicion of drunken driving. Jennifer Marshall says she was trying to phone her lawyer when Deputy Greg Lockhart pressed the stun gun to her arm as another deputy held her. Police contend Marshall refused to drop the cell phone after Lockhart warned her she would have to go to jail if she did not submit to a blood test. Hamilton County Sheriff Doug Carter says Lockhart followed department...

Sen. John Kerry says President Bush should bring home 20,000 troops from Iraq over the Christmas holidays if the December parliamentary elections there are successful. Defeated by Bush last year and a potential candidate for the Democratic presidential nomination in 2008, Kerry called for a "reasonable time frame" for pulling back troops rather than a full-scale withdrawal advocated by some Democrats. He said it could be completed in 12 to 15 months. "It will be hard for this administration, but it is essential to acknowledge that the insurgency will not be defeated unless our troop levels are drawn down, starting...

Did you know that several Republican leaders in Texas have been issuing apologies for slavery and bigotry on behalf of our party? They are and it includes our immediate former Republican Party of Texas Chairman Susan Weddington.Democrat liberals do this sort of thing all the time when pandering and race hustling to Jesse Jackson and his following for votes, but to see this sort of stuff from Republican leaders seems unbelievable.Since this story is so far fetched many have experienced disbelief in it at first. But rest assured, it happened and here is the evidence that could be assembled from...

"I like Bill O'Reilly," the Democratic presidential candidate told TV Guide. "I think he does a terrific job. I think he's got a very good show." Kerry said he'd "love to" appear on "The O'Reilly Factor" and would ask his schedulers about it. O'Reilly, who interviewed President Bush (news - web sites) for telecasts last week on the top-rated cable news program, told The Associated Press he'd been trying...

NASHUA, N.H. -- Howard Dean said Wednesday he regretted the pain he caused by saying that the Democratic Party must court Southerners who display the symbol of the Confederacy in their pickup trucks. Speaking in New York about campaign finance, the former Vermont governor sought to quell the dispute that erupted over his recent comment and his unwillingness to apologize for it during Tuesday night's debate. "I regret the pain that I have caused, but I will tell you there is no easy way to do this and there will be pain as we discuss it and we must face...
