In a time of Looming war, a young boy is thrust into a man's shoes in colonial North Carolina to protect his family farm with a 40 Caliber Rifle & Tomahawk. Twelve-year-old Wilbur Bowling had a smile on his face as he emerged from the forest that fringed his family's 25-acre farm on a cold March afternoon. He felt like a man. He looked like one too, at least in the opinion of Ruthie and Mary, his younger half-sisters. They were especially impressed with the stag-handled hunting knife he'd traded John Colby's wife for in exchange for his squirrel hunting...

Note to all those who still don’t believe that the left, along with their seemingly endless stream of useful idiots, is intent on a path to dismantle America as it was founded: you are dangerously wrong. As long as our economy and political systems prioritize profit without considering who is profiting, who is being shut out, we will perpetuate this inequality,” she said at a livestreamed event in Minnesota on Tuesday. “We cannot stop at [the] criminal justice system. We must begin the work of dismantling the whole system of oppression.” – Ilhan Omar, yesterday Presumably the great dismantling...

After tweeting out news of his intent to run for the presidency this fall on Sunday, rapper Kanye West sat down for what Steve Forbes says was a 4-hour interview with reporter Randall Lane. In the exhausive interview, West provides all the details about his reasons for running, his views about President Donald Trump and Joe Biden, the fact that he believes he has been chosen by God to lead the country and his belief that a COVID-19 vaccine would be the biblical “Mark of the Beast.” The article on the interview can be found in full at this link....

The State of Maryland, and most specifically my county, Charles County (in Southern Maryland) is still deciding if they will fully reopen in the Fall, and the county's Board of Education will be meeting this upcoming Tuesday, 7/14/20, to discuss. There is talk that about 7 out of the 9 board members will vote to NOT reopen and there is one member who seems to lean towards fully reopening. They are accepting comments from the public and I need help in drafting my comments and include many facts since the 'COVID death trend' is going down dramatically, despite the mainstream...

This past May I turned 65 and HAD to go on Medicare. I'm curious about other people's experiences with it. I hate it, myself. Our primary insurance that was mr. mm's from work is now allegedly the secondary insurance, and our rates for that insurance went down, but I am getting nailed to the wall with prescription expenses. Some of the meds I am on for my Mast Cell Disorder are ridiculously expensive and even with the so-called co-pays, would bankrupt us because of the coverage gap. I have medicare Part B and D but I have no way of...

Emboldened by Hitler’s rise to power in Germany in 1933, and fueled by the Great Depression, anti-Semitism increased throughout the United States, and over 100 anti-Semitic organizations sprung up across the country. They had names like the Friends of the New Germany (Nazi Bund), the Silver Shirts, Defenders of the Christian Faith, the Christian Front, and the Knights of the White Camellia, among others. Protected by the constitution’s First Amendment, they held public rallies, paraded through the streets in their uniforms carrying Nazi flags, published scurrilous magazines, and openly flaunted their hatred for Jews. American Jews were intimidated and frightened....

More than 200 Princeton University faculty have signed a letter demanding nearly 50 initiatives to address what the scholars contend is rampant anti-blackness and racism that festers at the Ivy League institution. “At this moment of massive global uprising in the name of racial justice, we the faculty—Black, Latinx, Asian, and members of all communities of color along with our white colleagues—call upon the University to take immediate concrete and material steps to openly and publicly acknowledge the way that anti-Black racism, and racism of any stripe, continue to thrive on its campus,” stated the demand letter. An academic paper from 2019 defies the current progressive narrative about police targeting minorities. The paper has been cited by right leaning scholars, such as Heather Mac Donald of the Manhattan Institute. Now the authors of the paper are seeking to retract it. We’re now politicizing inconvenient facts and data. Retraction Watch reports: Authors of study on race and police killings ask for its retraction, citing “continued misuse” in the media The authors of a controversial paper on race and police shootings say they are retracting the article, which became a flashpoint in the debate over killings by police, and...

...YouGov’s 2016 re-contact survey suggests that Clinton lost a substantial share of Bernie Sanders’ primary voters, with 16% of Democrats who favored Sanders in May voting for Trump, Gary Johnson, Jill Stein, or some other candidate in the general election. Biden main vulnerability at this point is within his own party, but in a different way than Clinton’s in 2016. Biden has shifted some of his policy positions to appease the left, but this move carries risks of losing moderates in his party. According to YouGov’s July 1 poll, a little over 25% of Democrats consider themselves “very liberal” ideologically;...

Can someone please fire Christopher Wray already? Please? – Jeffrey Jensen, the U.S. attorney for Eastern Missouri assigned by AG William Barr to review the DOJ’s despicable conduct of the Mike Flynn frame-up case earlier this year, came through again today with the revelation of more potentially exculpatory documents that had been withheld from Flynn’s lawyers by the FBI. sday, the Jesuit periodical America sounded a dark note: “Are Nigeria’s Christians the target of a genocide? That is the conclusion of a number of religious freedom analysts and Nigerian clergy.” Yet the venerable Leftist Catholic magazine’s warning was veritably dripping with irony, for the same publication has for quite some time been vilifying and smearing people who did speak out against the persecution of Christians in Nigeria and elsewhere...America magazine is not actually being as inconsistent as it may seem at first glance. Washington Celtics could replace Washington Redskins because the Irish are proud of their heritage and many North Americans are simply ashamed of their heritage. The word "redskins" is a physically descriptive term that doesn't have inherently negative characteristics. The word is one of the English translations of the Ottawa term "Oklahoma". If we consider the characteristics of the people the term "redskins" was first applied to, it's a positive term. I'm attempting to understand why some of the descendants of the people Christopher Columbus called "Indians" say they are ashamed to be called "redskins". The only explanation I can think...

The passing of 74-year-old death row inmate Richard Stitely due to COVID-19 hit Gov Gavin Newsom (D-Calif) hard this week. "I could have saved him," the teary-eyed Governor lamented. "Normally, death row prisoners live for decades. Poor Richard's untimely demise after only ten years was a sad twist of fate. If only I had released him like I have released so many others—more than 3,000 I think—to spare them from the coronavirus he could right now be walking the streets and doing the things he loved when he was alive and a free man." "Maybe I shouldn't be so glum,"...
