<p>COLUMBIA, S.C. (AP) — Police arrested a man Saturday in connection with the death of 21-year-old college student Samantha Josephson, who apparently got into the suspect’s car thinking it was her Uber ride.</p>
<p>Nathaniel David Rowland, 24, was arrested early Saturday after a police officer noticed him driving a black Chevy Impala, the same type of car that Samantha Josephson got into as she left a bar shortly after 2 a.m. Friday in the city of Columbia’s 5 Points area, Columbia Police Chief Skip Holbrook said at a news conference.</p>

In a note to Judge Michael Aloise in Queens Supreme Court on Tuesday night, the jury wrote: “After deliberating for the entire day we are split. It doesn’t seem like we can make progress. We feel that we have exhausted all of our options.” Lewis’ attorney then moved for a mistrial and Aloise granted it. “I’m inclined to agree even though it’s only been a day and a half,” Aloise said. “There were extensive deliberations. JACKSON, Miss. — Jackson police have made two arrests in connection with the shooting death of Chelsie Lynn Kirschten. Kirschten, 23, was shot and killed Aug. 17 as she sat in her car waiting on a red light at Fortification and State streets, according to police. The gunman said nothing when he walked up to the driver’s side closed window of Kirschten’s white Pontiac G6 and shot her in the back, police said.
