Beset by scandals on both the national and statewide level, Democrats find themselves in danger of historic losses in the 2014 midterms, as in addition to the "angry white males" they find themselves facing a new threat, that of the "angry young black male." A growing trend of young black makes defecting to the GOP has caused fears among Democratic Party officials who have largely ignored the concerns of a constituency that has been loyal for decades. It is ironic that with the election of the first African-American President, the party that garners roughly 90% of the black vote finds...

A House committee rejected a measure Wednesday to require Coloradans to show a picture identification card if they are registering to vote immediately before an election. Rep. Don Coram, R-Montrose, who introduced HB1111, said it makes sense to require photo IDs to guard against anyone from fraudulently casting a ballot, especially that close to an election. ... The bill, which the House State, Veterans & Military Affairs Committee killed on a party-line 5-4 vote, would have sent the idea to voters in November. Supporters said the state should do everything it can to ensure election integrity, even if there is...

Rep. Marcia Fudge (D.-Ohio), the incoming chairman of the Congressional Black Caucus, is accusing Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz) of "sexism and racism" because the criticism leveled at U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Susan Rice for telling the American people that the attack on the U.S. consulate in Benghazi was a spontaneous reaction to a video posted on YouTube. “There is a clear, a clear in my opinion, sexism and racism that goes with these comments that are being made by, unfortunately, Senator McCain and others,” Fudge (D-Ohio.) said Friday at a Capitol Hill press conference.

Here we are again voting in a presidential election and looking to the descendants of our SLAVERS, nonetheless, to improve the lifestyle of descendants of Slaves with their ubiquitous promises of greater opportunities to equality and an end to racism. How the heck can these candidates program the racist minds and hearts of our enemies to end race hatred when they are just as guilty? Our GOD has even made mention of the excessive cruelty of our captors: ...... Those of us who are the wiser know for a fact that for sure, this election like all others will at...

MSNBC goes to a video out at one of his rally's expecting to go to someone slamming Trump. Backfired totally when the link goes to a black man deriding David Duke, racism, etc. Totally caught with egg on face, as they were not expecting a black man to downplay the whole BS issue.

Time magazine photographer Chris Morris told CNN that as he tried to exit the media pen, a Secret Service agent began choking him. "I'm not pressing charges," Morris said Monday. "I stepped 18 inches out of the pen and he grabbed me by the neck and started choking me and then he slammed me to the ground." The Secret Service did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday. Before the incident, dozens of protesters interrupted Trump's rally, many of them linking arms and bringing the Republican presidential front-runner's stump speech temporarily to a halt. The protest started after...

MSNBC host Melissa Harris-Perry, whose show airs on weekends, has been officially declared persona non grata at the liberal news network. Perry, who felt that her show's editorial control was taken away, coupled with the allegation that she was being shut out of the 2016 election coverage; publicly aired her grievances in an email to her staff that was published on Medium. The New York Times pick it up, where she clarified that she doesn't know if there was untying racial at the heart of her dispute with executives; that email to her staff contained racially charged rhetoric. With this little war...

Hillary Clinton’s cynical attempt to pander her way to the Democratic nomination sank to new depths on Monday night. In a Facebook question-and-answer session, the former secretary of state proved that she would stop at nothing to placate black voters. Asked by MTV’s Jamil Smith how she would encourage white voters to pay attention to issues of racial justice, Clinton seemed determined to leave no room for Bernie Sanders to operate. “White Americans need to do a better job of listening when African Americans talk about the seen and unseen barriers that you face every day,” Clinton said. “We need...

LOS ANGELES - Despite repeated protests about its lack of diversity over the years, Hollywood does a fine job of engaging in repetitive amnesia about its pervasive and longstanding biases. Chris Rock, in other words, was in a target-rich environment on Sunday, and he didn't waste the opportunity. Rock's scathing and generally well-crafted monologue at Sunday's Academy Awards recalled the episode of "Black-ish" that aired on the same network just a few days ago. Rock's opening minutes were entertaining, but they made an array of serious points. "Is Hollywood racist?" he asked at the mid-point of his withering monologue,...

Comedian Chris Rock gave what has to be both the most monotonous and racially-charged Academy Award monologue in its entire history — it was 10 minutes of nothing but one #OscarsSoWhite joke after another. Then for the cherry on top, he shouted out “Black lives matter!” at the end. Rock hit the audience right out of the starting gate. “Man, I counted at least 15 black people on that montage,” he said. “Hey, well, I’m here at the Academy Awards, otherwise known as the white People’s Choice Awards. You realize if they nominated hosts, I wouldn’t even get this job....

Chris Rock came out swinging in one of the best opening monologues in years and took on the diversity controversy from the get-go at the 88th Academy Awards. Last night also saw Brie Lawson win Best Actress, Leonardo DiCaprio snag Best Actor in his fifth nomination, Alejandro G. Iñárritu was named Best Director and Spotlight won Best Picture. With all that, the Oscars themselves had a not such a great night with a 23.1/37 in metered market results. That’s down 6% from the 24.6/39 that the ceremony got last year in early results from the 56 markets across the country....

Watching the fight unfold between President Barack Obama and Senate Republicans over who should choose the next Supreme Court justice, Michael A. Bowden got angry at what he saw at the latest affront to the first black president. And then his thoughts turned from Washington to his own state. Obama won't be on the ballot this fall, but Pennsylvania GOP Sen. Pat Toomey will - and Bowden has made defeating him in November a priority. [...] Democrats are pressuring senators in Pennsylvania, Ohio, New Hampshire, Illinois and Wisconsin to back down from their refusal to confirm or even consider Obama's...

The man accused of opening fire at a Kansas business and two other locations, killing three people and wounding 14, has been identified as Cedric Larry Ford, 38, according to two law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation. Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton and several employees said the shooter was an employee at Excel Industries in Hesston, the principal target of the shooting spree. Paul Mullet, the president and CEO of Excel Industries confirmed earlier the gunman was a current employee at the company, which manufactures heavy duty lawn care equipment, but did not mention him by name. Ford was...

Donald Trump's critics tried to pass off fake Ku Klux Klan members as his supporters on social media Tuesday night. A closer look at the images reveal the so-called white supremacists were black. Almost 50 percent of Nevada caucus-goers gave the Republican hopeful an easy victory on Tuesday night, but not before a bizarre attempt at character assassination by black citizens in KKK garb. Not all of the photos shared on social media showed the color of their skin, which was taken advantage of by Trump's detractors.
