The man accused of opening fire at a Kansas business and two other locations, killing three people and wounding 14, has been identified as Cedric Larry Ford, 38, according to two law enforcement sources familiar with the investigation.
Harvey County Sheriff T. Walton and several employees said the shooter was an employee at Excel Industries in Hesston, the principal target of the shooting spree. Paul Mullet, the president and CEO of Excel Industries confirmed earlier the gunman was a current employee at the company, which manufactures heavy duty lawn care equipment, but did not mention him by name.
Ford was shot and killed by police during a gun battle with officers, officials said. Police have not officially identified him.
Walton did not cite the motive for the shooting, although he said "there were some things that triggered this incident."

His criminal record is as long as your arm. Most of his activity was in Florida, place of the pregnant and hanging chads.
My understanding is that he got fired from Excel, and then his car broke down. Sounds like a recipe for rage.

The use of Facebook and “flashrobs” betrays the lie of the “digital divide”; several of my black co-workers have much more expensive gadgets than mine. Simply put, without basic English, math, etc. those devices don’t add any value to them as prospective employees. In fact, it has made them (and many non-blacks) even worse as employees - they don’t concentrate on work. I’ve seen toll collectors using them (while the line of cars barely moves), and there is no shortage of stories of BUS DRIVERS using them (which come to light when accident videos are reviewed).
Years ago I stopped paying attention in meetings where the boss couldn’t be bothered to call to task any of the people openly playing on phones during them (these aren’t long meetings, so even work-related emails can wait); I basically start jotting down things related to my own job that I have to address after the meeting. If it isn’t important enough to require full concentration, then stop inviting them (or me).
And then one day, with no remorse
The smithy plotted an evil course
He went berserk, on a murderous spree
Instead of standing beneath
He should be hanging from a tree
