In her new book, Chasing Light: Michelle Obama Through the Lens of a White House Photographer, former official White House photographer Amanda Lucidon shares 150 candid images of Mrs. Obama from her time as first lady. This selection of photos from the book highlights Lucidon's ability to capture intimate moments, as well as the first lady's impact on those around her. "Mrs. Obama enjoyed adding some fun to the mix," Lucidon writes of covering official events and meetings. "She loved to drop by and surprise people, in and out of the White House, which always made for great photos. I...

As President Barack Obama gets set to travel to Copenhagen Thursday night to make the case that Chicago should host the 2016 Olympics, good government groups are torn over how to handle the presidential sales pitch. After all, the moneyed interests behind Chicago’s bid — who bundled nearly $2 million for Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign — are hard to ignore and they raise the specter of influence-peddling that reformists are dedicated to fighting. https://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/10/01/chicago-olympic-committee_n_306135.html

In the past few days, thousands of Iranians have marched against the terrorist regime in Tehran. As of this writing, twelve of these Iranians have been murdered by the country’s Revolutionary Guard. Trump has tweeted his support for the protesters, spoken out in their favor, and made clear that he’d love to see them topple the regime itself. Contrast Trump’s behavior with that of the Obama administration, which deliberately ignored anti-regime protests in 2009, choosing instead to cozy favor with the regime and maximize Tehran’s regional power. The administration even went so far as to give Tehran a legal pathway...

President Donald Trump excoriated his predecessor Tuesday, castigating the transfer of funds during the Obama administration to the Iranian government, writing that the money never benefited the Iranian people, and was instead funneled to terrorist organizations. In a tweet Tuesday afternoon, President Trump again praised anti-government Iranian protests who have taken to the streets since Thursday to protest government corruption and the country’s high unemployment rates. “The people of Iran are finally acting against the brutal and corrupt Iranian regime. All of the money that President Obama so foolishly gave them went into terrorism and into their ‘pockets.’ The people...

Under Obama, America has been at war for longer than under any other U.S. president

<p>Late last week, a top FBI lawyer named James Baker was reassigned. The Washington Post said it was part of FBI Director Christopher Wray’s effort to assemble his own team of senior advisers.</p>
<p>But there’s probably more to it. The FBI has been accused — correctly, I believe — of partisanship, especially when it came to handling the investigation of Hillary Clinton’s emails.</p>

Last week Politico reported on an explosive in depth investigation surrounding how the former President Obama administration allowed the terrorist group Hezbollah to continue a multinational drug running and money-laundering operation to fund terrorism in order to negotiate a nuclear deal with Iran. The DEA’s “Operation Cassandra” was intentionally blocked; while the administration allowed drug-running into the U.S., weapons procurement to kill Americans and money laundering to facilitate all the terrorist activity. Supporting Hezbollah was down-played and intentionally permitted by the Obama administration.

PART I A GLOBAL THREAT EMERGES How Hezbollah turned to trafficking cocaine and laundering money through used cars to finance its expansion.

According to a report published by Politico, former President Obama blocked the Drug Enforcement Agency's efforts to stop the Islamic terrorist group Hezbollah from developing a global narcotics syndicate. The nominal rationale for this intrusion to thwart a law enforcement operation was "to not upset delicate negotiations with Iran." Hezbollah is largely funded by the Iranian government. Ben Rhodes, former Deputy National Security Adviser during the Obama Administration, characterized the revelation as "Monday-morning 'quarterbacking.' Are we supposed to be shocked that a president might place a higher priority on reaching a diplomatic agreement with another country ahead of a routine...

Here are President Obama’s main accomplishments over eight years:--Obamacare: This 2,000-plus page law with more than 10,000 pages of regulations and over 20 new taxes has not increased life expectancy but has taken away freedom of choice on what type of insurance everyone has to buy with greatly increased costs and deductibles. --The Iran Deal: This took the country which is a top sponsor of terrorism and lifted its regime up with more power and money. It did not make the world or the U.S safer and stronger. --The Paris Climate Accord: This transferred a massive amount of money and...

...Even if Bergdahl was not a deserter, the trade would have been a bad deal. As Investor’s Business Daily noted in an editorial charging “Obama Gave Material Assistance To Our Taliban Enemy,” President Obama committed a federal crime by trading Taliban leaders for Bergdahl: As former congressman and Afghanistan veteran Allen West points out, President Obama signed into law only months ago the National Defense Authorization Act, which makes it a crime to offer or provide any material support to terrorist groups. It makes no exception as to who and under which circumstances. The Taliban is considered a non-state terrorist...

The former Obama officials who manufactured a media “echo chamber” to sell the Iran deal are now working to undermine a bombshell report that revealed how former President Barack Obama’s administration derailed its own Drug Enforcement Agency’s efforts to stop Islamist terrorist group Hezbollah from developing a global narcotics syndicate. The Obama administration gave Hezbollah a pass, according to a bombshell Politico piece, in order to protect the Iran deal — one of the few remaining pillars of Barack Obama’s legacy. Two Republicans on the House oversight committee, Florida Rep. Ron DeSantis and Ohio Rep. Jim Jordan announced a congressional...

I remember about 8½ years ago that Rush Limbaugh questioned obama's economy stimulus scheme to fund shovel-ready projects. I believe the amount under discussion was a bit more than $700 Billion. Rush hypothesized that giving the money back to the American people would have a much greater effect on the economy than obama's plan. He said to test his hypothesis, give half back to Americans and fund shovel-ready projects with the other half. We saw then that shovel-ready wasn't prime time-ready and we all suffered greatly for it. I believe that the overall reaction to this week's tax cut bill...

Several new developments happening today center around the FBI’s use of the Christopher Steele Dossier in gaining FISA warrants to wiretap and monitor the 2016 campaign of Donald Trump; ie. “The Trump Project”. Doug Ross continues to update the ongoing conspiracy Timeline – SEE HERE. And that timeline just gained a big addition from a recently discovered visitor to the White House. Before going to the White House visitor angle, it’s important to express appreciation for Tablet Mag who did a deep dive into the Fusion-GPS connection to the creation of the Steele Dossier, and more specifically how Fusion-GPS head...

Constitutional attorney shreds Sally Yates: ‘You don’t order an entire dept… not to assist sitting president’ [ full title] A legal scholar and Constitutional attorney slammed former acting Attorney General Sally Yates for her “unprecedented” decision to defy President Trump’s executive order on travel and immigration. Jonathan Turley reacted to Yates’ opinion piece published by USA Today on Tuesday in which she added her own side notes to the Constitution’s preamble. “I much prefer the original,” Turley ... Yates was fired in January by the incoming president after she ordered the entire Justice Department to not defend Trump’s travel ban....

A Tablet investigation using public sources to trace the evolution of the now-famous dossier suggests that central elements of the Russiagate scandal emerged not from the British ex-spy Christopher Steele’s top-secret “sources” in the Russian government—which are unlikely to exist separate from Russian government control—but from a series of stories that Fusion GPS co-founder Glenn Simpson and his wife Mary Jacoby co-wrote for The Wall Street Journal well before Fusion GPS existed, and Donald Trump was simply another loud-mouthed Manhattan real estate millionaire.

Only someone who worked in Hillary Clinton’s State Department and thought giving ISIS summer jobs would stop their beheadings and terrorist attacks could dispute Josh Meyer’s lengthy, well-researched article in Politico detailing “how Obama let Hezbollah off the hook” by undermining his own government’s efforts to take down the terrorist group’s drug trafficking operations: “I was part of the negotiating team that got the Iran nuclear deal done,” the former Obama State Department spokeswoman told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade on Tuesday. “Until Politico wrote this piece, I had never even heard of this program. You know, the Politico story, this...

Some lawmakers are incensed, but not wholly surprised by this week's bombshell report from Politico that the Obama administration knowingly derailed an anti-Hezbollah investigation because it would have threatened the nuclear deal with Iran. The Drug Enforcement Administration was so convinced that Hezbollah was amassing $1 billion a year from drug and weapons trafficking that it started Project Cassandra in 2008, an under cover investigation, to follow the money. Yet, according to Politico's sources, the Justice and Treasury departments "delayed, hindered or rejected" requests from project members as they sought answers.Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) expected such meddling from the Obama White...

Yesh Atid chairman and former Finance Minister Yair Lapid urged former President Barack Obama to return the Nobel Peace Prize he was awarded in 2009, if an investigative report regarding his administration’s behavior towards the Hezbollah terror group is correct. Speaking with party members on Monday, Lapid responded to a report released by Politico early Monday morning which claims that the Obama administration systematically shielded the Hezbollah terrorist organization from prosecution, blunting the efforts of the Drug Enforcement Administration to crack-down on Hezbollah’s global drug trade and money laundering rackets. “If the report is correct,” Lapid told party members at...

Extortion: The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau is diverting potentially millions of dollars in settlement payments for alleged victims of lending bias to a slush fund for poverty groups tied to the Democratic Party. We've seen this before at the Justice Department, which Congress earlier this year scolded for "shortchanging" alleged victims of Bank of America and Citibank the same way. Justice funneled at least $150 million into a slush fund for Democratic interests, unconstitutionally avoiding Congress. Now, a little-noticed item on the CFPB's website reveals the powerful new agency is launching its own scheme to provide backdoor funding for nonprofit...
