"I don't even know what (Beck) said. I just know that, the Grammys, if they want real artists to keep coming back, they need to stop playing with us, we aren't going to play with them no more," he told his sister-in-law Khloe Kardashian during an E! after-show interview. "Flawless.' Beyoncé's video. And Beck needs to respect artistry, he should have given his award to Beyoncé."

Republican presidential candidates usually avoid any criticism of Hollywood, ever since Vice President Dan Quayle attacked "Murphy Brown" in 1992 for choosing to be a single mother on TV. There are two reasons. The first is the "objective" media will hand you your head, as Quayle found out -- even if later, experts and even reporters themselves admitted Quayle was right about the social harm being caused by the glorification of single motherhood. The second is a version of the NIMBY (Not In My Backyard) Syndrome. Just as Americans despise Congress, but not their own Congressman, so, too, do they...

The Manhattan mistress of married “60 Minutes’’ newsman Steve Kroft sent him sexy lingerie photos during their affair, but he insisted she dress low-key — like “Laura Bush” — with him in public to keep things hush-hush, according to newly revealed texts. A source close to Kroft’s lover told The Post that the TV hotshot was “really paranoid about right-wing zealots” finding out about their affair and using the tawdry details to try to destroy his career and CBS. [Snip] Kroft was proud to boast to Goines about his closeness to the leader of the free world — and let...

Some of these are pretty funny, like: -Mom Pants Convention -He was napping before going out to party with Jay Z and Beyoncé -It was for WORLD LEADERS, not COMMUNITY ORGANIZERS

Let me tell you, it isn’t easy being a fashion icon in this town. For example, nearly every trip requires two complete changes of clothes. The leaving and the comingWhich is really expecting a lot from a committed feminist like Lady M who has many other issues on her mind. Lest you think the lure of feminism has died down recently due to the constant drumbeat of racism and the glare of white privilege these past six years, think again sister. Misogyny is still a pressing issue of inequality burdening society and the new year provides the perfect time to catch...

Has John Heilemann ever gotten this riled up over the commies ruling Cuba? If so, I missed it. But on his Bloomberg TV show tonight, Heilemann got on his populist high horse to blast the British monarchy on the occasion of the visit to the US of Prince William and Princess Kate, mocking them as "undereducated" and calling for the British monarchy to be "done away with tomorrow." In Heilemann's view, the real "royalty" on view at the Brooklyn Nets game tonight will be Beyoncé, Jay-Z and Lebron James. View the video here.

During a week of demonstrations in San Antonio, Texas, Created Equal used pro-life displays on the campus of Texas State University. They were accompanied by an angry “Greek chorus” of pro-choice counter-protesters, carrying signs covered with various slogans (including ones stating, “We’re not with them,” just to eliminate any apparent confusion). In the photo to the right (click to enlarge) it’s hard to tell which is more bizarre: the wide grin of the woman near a picture of dead baby carnage, or (just to the right of the woman with long black hair) a cut-out of Beyonce! The loud chants...

Mark Levin takes note of the only time since BO’s Occupation that borders seem to matter:Specifically: when companies want to relocate their headquarters to countries that are slightly less socialistic then the USSA.Meanwhile, as our borders are being stampeded in both directions - “refugees” coming and corporations, who “are not people” so I don’t know why it matters, going, we carry on as best we can. Here are MO and the girls taking a break from the pressures of being the First Family by enjoying the beauty and grace of JayZ and Beyonce at their concert in Chicago. Daddy couldn’t...

The Barclays Center is usually associated with the Brooklyn Nets, not an active way to show deep political and social commentary. Unfortunately, this has recently changed due to the presence of performer Beyoncé and her husband, rapper Jay-Z. The couple is well known for their singing/performing collaborations, style inspiration, owning a portion of the Brooklyn Nets and their ascent to the Forbes “Highest- Paid Celebrity Couples List.” Good for them. Usually, the press does not associate them with misogyny and black power groups. Houston Rockets v Brooklyn Nets The couple was recently seen at a Brooklyn Nets Games wearing some...

ABC News reporter Terry Moran caused quite a commotion tonight on Twitter following after writing: "Pres. Obama just called Kanye West a "jackass" for his outburst at VMAs when Taylor Swift won. Now THAT'S presidential." Although it wasn't long before Moran removed it, with over a million followers, the tweet quickly bounced around Twitter through various users. Now, an ABC spokesperson explains to POLITICO what happened:

With invitations warning guests to ‘EBYC’ — Eat Before You Come — and rumours they’ll be dancing to star turns from Beyonce and her rapper husband Jay Z, it won’t be your usual White House knees-up. Michelle Obama was 50 yesterday and President Barack Obama will be feting his redoubtable First Lady tonight with a party that will give them the chance to let their hair down and forget their troubles for a few hours. The email inviting guests to the ‘snacks & sips & dancing & dessert’ advised them to wear comfortable shoes and practise their dance moves. Purse-lipped...

Sheryl Sandberg, author of Lean In and Chief Operating Officer of Facebook, has a line in her book that states "I want every little girl who's told she's bossy to be told instead that she has leadership skills." As you have probably heard by now, her Lean In organization and the Girl Scouts of America have teamed up with various celebrities and some other well-known female figures to urge us to ban the use of the word bossy. As part of their "public service" campaign they have released a short ad featuring these women lecturing us about how they were...

Jay-Z causes controversy by wearing gaudy medallion of 'Five Percent Nation' group who believe whites are 'wicked and weak' • The Brooklyn-born rapper wore a medallion representing the Five Percent Nation at a Nets game last week • One of the main tenets of the Nation of Islam offshoot is that white people are 'weak and wicked' and that black men hold the power of God • When asked if the medallion holds any importance to him, Jay-Z said: 'A little bit' • Jay-Z was spotted wearing the nation's symbol last year while giving radio interviews for his new album,...

Even National Public Radio (NPR) occasionally realizes that some college courses are straight from la-la land. A recent report from the Protojournalist mentions an unusual offering in the area of Mythology and Folklore at Harvard called Maledicta, which is described as “an academic exploration of ritualized verbal abuse,” according to a report in the Protojournalist. Students taking this class apparently examine “international traditions of vituperation and cursing in their folkloristic, historical and sociological settings.” Not only that, “they learn about practices including Turkish verbal duels, Scottish flyting and African-American “dozens.” Rutgers University also proves it is no slouch in the...

Even if you weren’t one of the 28.2 million Americans watching the 2014 Grammys last month, you probably caught wind of the controversy over Beyoncé’s raunchy performance of her song “Drunk in Love,” featuring her husband Jay-Z. Perhaps it was her lingerie-like outfit or her chair dancing or the part where Jay-Z grasped her rear, but this was one of those moments when parents find themselves putting their hands over their children’s eyes—or flipping to another channel. Beyoncé, a mother of a 2-year old, raked in tons of media attention for that performance. Some of the publicity was negative. The...

This whole Bossy the Cow thing is very confusing, so make sure you’ve had your coffee. We’re apparently championing a new hashtag campaign:I thought it was one of those made-up urban legends until I read Doug Powers article, “Go figure: ‘Bossy’ not a horrible word 3 months ago but now FLOTUS wants it banned.” The #BanBossy campaign is a joint effort of the DNC’s fight against the GOP’s War on Women, the Girl Scouts, and Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook and author of “Lean In: Women, Work, and the Will to Lead,” the little book of feminist wisdom and other tropes. Sheryl’s using...
