Sundance at The Conservative Tree House has written posts commenting on Ted Cruz's proselytizing as an electoral campaign strategy. Freepers have seen at least a couple of examples of this strategy recently, with threads being posted about Cruz calling on supporters to "don the full armor of God" to resist "incoming attacks" (presumably from dark forces!), or that the "Body of Christ" must be energized to gain the victory. In 2009, Glenn Beck was the king of the conservative movement, with record breaking audiences on his program on television on FOX, and a hit radio show. As it became clear that he was a bit of a “fringe” lunatic, and a fake crier, people began to turn off FOX. The CEO of FOX and the marketing team, in an attempt to distance themselves from Beck, ended their relationship. Now Beck is claiming he will not vote Trump, and his audience is shrinking rapidly.

“Polarizing” is a descriptive term used by a pontificating media to disparage various elements they find antithetical to their own worldview. Generally, when the term is used it is wrongly assigned. However, in the case of Ted Cruz it’s unfortunately accurate. When Jason Johnson sits down to discuss his pathway to the nomination with George Will, it says more about Jason Johnson than it does about those who read Will’s opinion of the aforementioned pathway.
