**SNIP** Dan Rogers, a voter in Boise, told KTVB he went to his 18th district polling location right as the polls opened and wanted to vote as a Republican. Rogers says he is currently unaffiliated and wanted to affiliate the day of the election. "So [the poll worker] sent me over to the voter registration table, and when I was there, a couple of the workers consulted, and I was informed that I was unable to vote in the primary for the Republicans unless I had been a declared member of the party since March 20," Rogers said. Rogers says...

In the wake of lawsuits and complaints against Broomfield for attempts to cover up and ignore problems in the error-riddled November election, city officials now admit finding a box containing about 75 ballots that for unknown reasons were not counted or reconciled to the voter records. ... Unknown is where the ballots came from, why they were tossed in a box, who had access to them and why they were not properly processed – even spoiled ballots are processed and documented to reconcile election records. Blank ballots are processed through the voting machines and accounted for. The box of ballots...

New York City’s Department of Investigation (DOI) has just shown how easy it is to commit voter fraud that is almost undetectable. Its undercover agents were able to obtain ballots for city elections a total of 61 times — 39 times using the names of dead people, 14 times using the names of incarcerated felons, and eight times using the names of non-residents. On only two occasions, or about 3 percent of the time, were the agents stopped by polling-place officials. In one of the two cases, an investigator was stopped only because the felon he was trying to vote...

The Battle of Athens (sometimes called the McMinn County War) was a rebellion led by citizens in Athens and Etowah, Tennessee, United States, against the local government in August 1946. The citizens, including some World War II veterans, accused the local officials of political corruption and voter intimidation. Here is what happened: Following World War II in 1946, violence erupted when returning American soldiers discovered their Tennessee county had been taken over by political corruption. Their plan to take it back involved bullets—lots of bullets—and dynamite. Why Athens in McMinn County, Tennessee became a battleground was due to Paul Cantrell,...

LAUDERHILL, Fla. (WSVN) -- Nearly a thousand ballots that were not included in Florida's final count have been found in a warehouse in Broward County. Tuesday morning and into the night, there was a buzz of activity at the Voting Equipment Center in Lauderhill, a week after the general election. There was a recount going on for two commission seats that were too close to call, one in Hallandale Beach and another in Dania Beach. Workers had to count those votes manually. Also keeping elections officials busy is the fact that 963 filled ballots were found in a warehouse. The...

Duffleblog says that the tardy delivery of the ballots caused them to be returned too late to be counted but these hundreds of thousands of ballots seem preliminarily to have been enough to hand Romney the election. Sources confirmed today that hundreds of thousands of military absentee ballots were delivered hours after the deadline for them to be counted, with preliminary counts showing that they would have overturned the vote in several states and brought a victory for Governor Mitt Romney.Officials say the ballots were delivered late due to problems within the military mail system. Tracking invoices show the ballots...

During each election cycle, hundreds of thousands of ballots are not counted on Election Day. Elections officials have approximately one month to complete their extensive tallying and certification work (known as the official canvass). Most notably, voting by mail has increased significantly in recent years and many vote-by-mail ballots arrive on Election Day. In processing vote-by-mail ballots, elections officials must confirm each voter's registration status, verify each voter's signature on the vote-by-mail envelope, and ensure each person did not vote elsewhere in the same election. Other ballots that are processed after Election Day include provisional ballots (processed similar to vote-by-mail...

In light of several instances of voting 'irregularities' already sited in some of the states, maybe we should consider one that could be critical. We all know that millions of voters have opted to vote by absentee ballot in battle ground states but the system relies on the American Postal Workers Union to deliver those ballots. WHAT IF certain zip codes are targeted by the Unionized Postal Workers and they never arrive to their destination? Think that is paranoia thinking? Just revisit past elections where ballots were found in dumpsters. Fortunately, many of these battle ground states have links where...

ObamaCare mandate big on state ballots that also include gay marriage, marijuanaPublished October 29, 2012 FoxNews.com Four states are continuing to fight against ObamaCare by including a ballot measure on Election Day that asks residents whether they want to block the mandate requiring Americans to have insurance under the new federal health-care law. Alabama, Florida, Montana and Wyoming will join 16 other states that have already passed laws or made changes to their constitutions to say they will not enforce the so-call “individual mandate” in the law.
