Potentially Fatal ‘Knockout’ Game Targeting Strangers May be Spreading by Chris Lingebach November 16, 2013 10:40 AM WASHINGTON - A terrifying new ‘game’ that’s already caused deaths in Syracuse, St. Louis and New Jersey is sweeping the nation, and it preys upon unsuspecting people walking the streets, anywhere. A recent report from New York-based CBS 2 shed light on the growing trend, displaying unsettling footage of teens participating in this game – which goes by the name ‘Knockout’ – and involves randomly targeting passersby, with the ultimate goal being to knock them out with one punch as they walk by....

THOUSANDS of planes coming in to land at Britain’s busiest airports are being endangered by a wave of potentially deadly laser attacks from the ground. Police helicopters chasing criminals over densely populated areas are also regularly hit. In most cases the beams are being shone by mindless youths, but pilots and security experts worry terrorists could also use them.

John McCain tried to grab a few minutes at the end of the Ted Cruz filibuster, leading magnificently sarcastic Rep. Justin Amash of Michigan to Tweet that McCain wanted to give the Democratic response to Cruz' speech. Eventually McCain got to the floor, and sure enough, he handed out Democrat talking points left and right, including a variation on Barack Obama's "I won" insistence that "elections have consequences," so good little Republicans should play ball with ObamaCare. He also spent a bizarre amount of time railing against Cruz for daring to say (in the course of over 20 hours of...

From crippling cyber-attacks by terrorists using the internet to cause havoc, to the release of engineered diseases and killer computers, they warn the future is far from rosy. But the work being done by the...

Obama’s love of TV is in keeping with childhood. By his own admission, Obama watched an enormous amount of television while growing up with his TV-loving grandfather in Hawaii. According to Obama’s memoir, he watched TV – cartoons, reruns, then sitcoms – pretty much from the moment he came home until the moment he went to bed at night. His grandfather was a big fan of Johnny Carson, and even after Obama went off to Occidental College, he continued in his grandfather’s footsteps. He would often get together with friends to watch Johnny Carson’s opening monologue on The Tonight Show....

As talk and rumors of an impending Western attack against Syria mount, a top Syrian official said Monday that if attacked, his country would react - against Israel. Speaking to an Arabic-language radio station operated by the United States, Syria's Deputy Information Minister Halaf Al-Maftah said that Israel would face not only Syria in the event that the US, Britain and France attempted to unseat Bashar al-Assad. A coalition consisting of Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria would respond to any attack against Assad with a response against Israel. In addition, terrorist groups in Syria and Lebanon would attack Israel with...

The White House’s deputy press secretary today downplayed Muslim attacks on Christians in Egypt, joking about the savagery that has left at least six Christians dead. Press secretary Josh Earnest was asked by Fox News’ correspondent, Ed Henry, if President Barack Obama has a “red line” beyond which he would act against Muslim attacks on Egyptian Christians. “Well, I didn’t bring my red pen out with me today,” Earnest joked. After making his joke, Earnest said the administration is “outraged… and concerned” about the Muslim attacks on almost 100 churches, monasteries, orphanages and other marked Christian sites. Many Christians’ shops...

He says the boys claimed he knew who stole their bicycles but if you ask me they were just looking for someone to pummel. His father says that several from the group approached his house with bats and knives while he was holding a barbecue. He didn’t go into more detail.

HAYWARD -- A woman was arrested Saturday after allegedly jumping on stage at a music festival and attacking a legendary musician after he dedicated a song to Trayvon Martin, according to police and eyewitnesses. The woman, who police identified as 43-year-old Dinalynn Andrews Potter of Barstow, apparently yelled, "it's all your fault" before shoving 73-year-old Lester Chambers, his family said Sunday. "She had a crazed look in her eye," said Kurt Kangas, a friend of Chambers who ran to his aid. "I saw the devil there." Chambers was performing at the Hayward Russell City Blues Festival downtown when around 5:15...

In a sharp escalation of the U.S. role in Syria's bloody civil war, the White House announced late Thursday that it will provide military aid to rebels fighting to topple President Bashar al-Assad after confirming that his government used chemical weapons on the opposition. Deputy National Security Advisor for Strategic Communications Ben Rhodes told reporters on a conference call that President Barack Obama had heard pleas from Syria's rebel Supreme Military Council (SMC) for more help. "Our aim is to be responsive," Rhodes said, underlining that the new assistance would have "direct military purposes."

On Wednesday congressional hearings on Benghazi will be revived, with much ado about whistle blowers, and dissenting testimony, but to what end? The story concocted by The Administration and The State Department is a swiss cheese-like artifice that would never hold up in an era of true journalism. However, though the ruse did not completely cover up the mistakes of Benghazi, the left hopes it will hold together long enough to protect Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. Expect the left to circle the wagons around the two top players. At this point they will be willing to toss any underling...

... I was proud of almost all your New England senators, who listened to their constituents, and put safety over the big money of the gun lobby. But like so many Granite Staters, 89 percent of whom support expanded background checks, I was disappointed with Sen. Kelly Ayotte, who did not listen to her constituents and who alone in New England voted in lockstep with the NRA.... When I voted for health care reform, which was not at all popular among my constituents, I got a lot of angry calls about my vote for health care. I listened. I felt...
