THOUSANDS of planes coming in to land at Britain’s busiest airports are being endangered by a wave of potentially deadly laser attacks from the ground.
Police helicopters chasing criminals over densely populated areas are also regularly hit.
In most cases the beams are being shone by mindless youths, but pilots and security experts worry terrorists could also use them.

Drones at airports would be a natural deterrant Id think.....with no pilots to be blinded.

Back before that closed a Naval Air Station pilots would often illuminate tractors at the dump with their laser target designators. So, why should they have all the fun?

It seems to me that this is a technical problem. Can they not create some glasses that nullifies the laser beam?
Just put up “NO LASER ZONE” signs at the airport and all around town; problem solved.
Id suspect that a drone could be armed with the same sort of lasers used in these cases....
