Three people are facing charges after a man accidentally photobombed them and he was beaten into unconsciousness. The charges stem from a May 11 incident in LoDo when the bars let out and the defendants were taking photographs of themselves near 14th and Market streets. The unidentified 30-year-old victim accidentally walked into one of the shots, police said, and one of the suspects, Bryanna Warren, 25 began arguing with him and hitting him. As CBS 2’s Jessica Schneider reported, police on Wednesday were searching for several men wanted in the assault, which took place around midnight Tuesday night, shortly after the couple left the Chelsea Bowtie Cinemas on 23rd Street between Seventh and Eighth avenues. A rash of anti-gay attacks was plaguing the city only a few months ago. In the severest incident, Mark Carson, 32, was shot and killed on May 18 by a man who first called him and his partner “f***ots” and asked if they were “gay wrestlers,” police said.

PEMBROKE PINES (CBS4) – The security video shows a 14 year-old mental patient being escorted down a hallway when a Pembroke Pines police officer reaches in and grabs the girl. The girl whirls and swats at the officer, and he proceeds to punch her in the face. The officer’s blow to the mentally disturbed teen snapped her head back, and appeared to be delivered with full force. Other officers join in, wrestling the girl to the ground and spraying her with Mace.

Two city bus passengers helped police catch a man accused of spitting on a bus driver and clobbering him with a rock Sunday afternoon, Albuquerque police said. About 1:30 p.m., bus driver Robert Gallegos was driving a bus north of Montgomery on San Mateo when 37-year-old Michael Fisher got on the bus, spat in Gallegos’ face and whacked him with a large rock, causing a head injury, according to Albuquerque Police Department spokesman Simon Drobik. Gallegos was taken to Presbyterian Hospital for observation and required either stitches or staples for a wound that drew blood, he said.

Two men have been arrested after a 13-year-old girl reported several males sexually assaulted her for hours and recorded the attack with cell phone cameras. SAN MARCOS, Texas -- A police officer in San Marcos is in jail after arresting a pedestrian whom police say didn’t break the law. Corporal James Angelo Palermo, 40, conducted a traffic stop on May 29 during his midnight shift patrol near 126 S. Guadalupe Street. Baltimore police say they are investigating a witness account that a group of black youths beat a Hispanic man near Patterson Park Sunday while saying, "This is for Trayvon." A witness posted the account on a community Facebook page, and police confirmed they are looking into whether the suspects' reaction to the verdict in the Florida trial of George Zimmerman played a part in the incident. A police report on the beating does not mention the alleged comments. Sgt. Eric Kowalczyk, a police spokesman, declined to go into further detail.
