A $58 million film studio is in the works for Fayette County, just minutes from Pinewood Atlanta Studios. This week’s Atlanta Business Chronicle reports the 24-acre, six-stage complex in north Fayetteville would be called Cinema South Studios. CinemaLive have announced their partnership with C-Major Entertainment to bring Carmen, the most beautiful opera by Georges Bizet, which will be filmed on the Lake in Bregenz, Austria and transmitted to 300 UK cinemas on Thursday 14th September. Seebühne (floating stage) is set on the water near the shores of Lake Constance in Austria and has a 7,000 seat open-air amphitheatre. A noted art collector and philanthropist has sold a major painting for an eye-popping $165 million to raise money for criminal justice reform. Agnes Gund sold Roy Lichtenstein's 1962 work Masterpiece, reportedly to billionaire hedge fund manager and art collector Steve Cohen. The sale apparently took place months ago; an art industry newsletter reported on the transaction in January, but Gund would not confirm it. I happened to stumble across this movie last night, and watched it. Rotten Tomatoes gives it an 84%. I hated it but what do I know? This is a really dumb, bad, plotless movie, stuffed to the warp nacelles with gratuitous CGi gone wild (LOOK WHAT WE CAN DO!) I mean, it was a commercial for CGi. It is replete with terrible, embarrassing “aliens” makeup, bad acting, terrible cinematography, awful lines, and just plain stupid jumping around.

Jack Posobiec and Laura Loomer turned up in New York City’s Central Park tonight and caused chaos during the production of Julius Ceaser. Laura Loomer ran up on stage screaming, “This is political violence against the right and it’s unacceptable!” The production company halted the play as the crowd shouted down Loomer telling her to get off the stage. Security personnel ascended on the stage to escort her off. Posobiec, who filmed the altercation, then started shouting at the audience calling them Nazis and “Goebbels.”
