A 26-year-old man who allegedly held a knife to a gas station clerk’s neck in St. Charles, Missouri, was shot and killed Saturday morning by a store customer. A shootout between an auto repair shop worker and a suspected robber left one of them dead Saturday morning. Birmingham police Saturday afternoon identified the slain man as Josiah Bryant. He was 22 and lived in Birmingham. The shooting happened at 7:45 a.m. at Hatcher’s Auto Transmission Center on Tuscaloosa Avenue. On Friday, 16 March, about 2 p.m. in Aurora, Colorado, an armed robber victimized a small grocery run by an Ethiopian immigrant. In the barber shop next door, the barbers heard a scream, then a shot, then two more shots. One of the barbers grabbed his gun and went out the door. Outside he entered into a gunfight with the robbery suspect. From the portrayal of the other barber, it appears the armed Samaritan used cover and concealment.  Several shots were fired. The parents of a dead armed robber are very angry over his death, and are demanding to know why his innocent victim was allowed to be armed. It’s been a difficult week for parents Temia Hairston and Michael Grace Sr. Their son, Michael Grace Jr., was shot and killed during an attempted robbery early Sunday morning. Police said Grace Jr. and two other people tried to rob a Pizza Hut in the 3200 block of Freedom Drive. During the incident, an employee fired his own handgun and killed Grace Jr.

An armed man was shot dead by a patron after the suspect tried robbing the Waterbury, Connecticut, cafe and the patrons inside, police said. Police are investigating the fatal incident as a homicide.
