Police first encountered the man walking the streets of Abington with an AR-15 rifle slung across his back around 8:30 p.m. Friday. In talking with officers that night, he gave only his first name and explained that he “wanted to educate the public about his right to carry this weapon,” Abington Township Police Chief Patrick Molloy said. “He also wanted to gauge the political climate of Abington Township.” When that same man resurfaced Monday afternoon, carrying the same type of semiautomatic weapon through the North Hills, Ardsley, Glenside, and Abington Shopping Center sections of the township, residents became alarmed. Sightings...

AR stands for "Armalite Rifle", named after the company that developed this firearm. Contrary to popular beliefs it is not "assault rifle" or even "automatic rifle". Brief History of the AR The rifle was first used during the Vietnam War as an alternative to the M-14 rifle. Ok, lets back up a bit here’s a short history of it. In the late 1950s, the gun manufacturer Colt purchased the rights to the rifle but had difficulty selling it to the U.S. military. The ArmaLite Division of Fairchild is the first phase of the company’s history and where it built the...

Kyle Kashuv is a Parkland student who, just like Emma Gonzalez and David Hogg, was at Douglas High School the day Nikolas Cruz murdered 17 of his classmates. Unlike Gonzalez and Hogg and many other Douglas survivors, Kashuv has been a lone, persistent student voice in favor of gun rights and the Second Amendment. Despite his support for the right to keep and bear arms, Kashuv didn’t own a firearm and had never fired one. That changed over the weekend when he went to a range with his father. He tweeted stills and video of the range session. As...

Even in extremely liberal Madison, Wisconsin, there is a core of Second Amendment supporters. Friends of the NRA is not a political group. The events are meant to raise money for things such as shooting ranges and teaching firearms safety. They are not allowed to endorse political candidates. It is clear that Friends of the NRA are Second Amendment supporters. The Friends of the NRA in Madison, Wisconsin, held their 26th annual fundraising event on 11 April 2018. The event has been non-controversial for 25 years. This year the event drew some crybullies who want to tell other people...

As more is becoming known about Travis Reinking, the suspect wanted for murdering four people in a Nashville area Waffle House this morning, we’re hearing a familiar refrain. Reinking was well known to both federal and state authorities. In July 2017, the U.S. Secret Service arrested Reinking for being in a “restricted area” near the White House, according to the Secret Service. After the arrest, his Illinois firearms authorization was revoked and local Illinois police seized four weapons. The firearms were given back to his family. “Among the weapons seized by those authorities was the AR-15 rifle used at the...

Four people are dead and several more wounded after a gunman opened fire on a restaurant in a predawn shooting Sunday morning outside of Nashville, Tennessee. Local authorities launched a manhunt for 29-year-old Travis Reinking, who is believed to be the shooter. “Murder warrants are now being drafted against Travis Reinking,” police tweeted. Nashville police said Reinking had fled the scene naked, and asked locals to report any sightings of a naked man walking the streets to authorities. "If you see a nude guy walking around this morning call the police department," Metro Nashville Police Department’s Don Aaron told WTVF....

All three were then transported to the hospital with a police escort. One of the three suspects is said to...

The only drawback from the AR platform is the 5.56 cartridge. Some folks want a little more punch. There have been some cartridges that have come down the pike as an alternative, but the only one that stands out is the .300 AAC Blackout. One of the ways to test out this debate is to do a terminal ballistic testing. Terminal ballistics of a round are the qualities it has when it hits the target. The sectional density, the relationship of its mass and its weight, its ability to penetrate rather than fragment, and the wound channel it creates due...

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) — For one police officer in Philadelphia’s 15th District, a report involving a 12-year-old boy armed with an assault rifle will be a call he’ll never forget. Police say 19-year-old Michael Mitchell was armed with a handgun when he was arguing with his neighbor on the 2200 block of Kennedy Street over the weekend. During the altercation, police say Mitchell asked his 12-year-old brother to go grab an assault rifle.

The Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) post 4073 in Marshall, Michigan was the site of a class to teach people to build AR-15 rifles. The class had been scheduled for months. This was the third year the popular class was held at the post. Chris Walden of Walden's Firearms taught the class to about 60 participants. This year was a little different a professor from Albion College, W. Jeffrey Wilson organized a protest of their peaceful, voluntary activity. No one at the VFW post or Chris buckled under to the bullying of the protesters. The protest drew national attention....

Three Oklahoma teenagers were killed last week when they broke into a house and were met by a homeowner with an AR15. Now the grandfather of one of the teenagers is speaking out about his grandson’s death. According to KTUL-TV, Leroy Schumacher, grandfather of 17-year-old Jacob Redfearn, believes the death of Redfearn was unjustified because the homeowner’s AR15 gave him an unfair advantage over the three burglars. Speaking to KTUL, Schumacher acknowledged that breaking into a house was “stupid,” but death was not the appropriate consequence. “What these three boys did was stupid,” Schumacher said. “They knew they could be...

First the gun-control zealots insisted that the right to bear arms, the second of ten delineated individual rights enshrined in the Bill of Rights was not an individual right. Then, when the U.S. Supreme Court said in Heller Vs. D.C. (2008) that it was in fact an individual right, the argument was that the ruling only applied to the federal enclave known as the District of Columbia. When the Supreme Court in MacDonald vs. Chicago said it was indeed a national right, the argument turned to “sensible restrictions” such as arguing the Founding Fathers did not anticipate semi-automatic weapons and...

Well, it was not a good day for the stock market and it wasn’t a good day for gun rights. A federal judge decided to uphold a law that already strengthened the state’s ban on so-called assault weapons. The judge went on the whole weapons of war tangent in his opinion (via Bloomberg) Massachusetts’ beefed-up ban on assault weapons doesn’t violate the Second Amendment of the Constitution, a U.S. judge ruled, handing a victory to gun-control advocates seeking to pass such a law nationwide following a spate of deadly mass shootings."The AR-15 and its analogs, along with large capacity magazines,...

Kids are typically expected to take a back seat when it comes to national politics and policy, but with what's going on right now that cannot happen any longer. I'm 16 years old, I'm a junior high school student, I cannot vote. That does not mean I can't do anything. It's time for students, everywhere, across the country, whether you're in a blue state or red state, to get involved, to speak up in your own local communities. It's time that students have this conversation at the dinner table with their parents and let them know that enough is enough!

The AR-15 may well be the most vilified rifle in existence at the moment, possibly even more so than the Soviet-designed AK-47. This is especially true following several incidents where bad people did bad things with the rifle in question. As per usual following such incidents, politicians begin clamoring for the rifle to be banned. They use all kinds of rhetoric to paint the firearm as some kind of evil murder-death-kill machine that serves no other purpose except to end lives. This usually comes from the same people who claim that the most recent gunman, armed with a Glock, didn’t...

The anti-gun Left tried to push expanded background checks and failed. Now, they’re harping on increasing the age limit to buy long guns to 21; it’s 18 in most states. Florida recently passed a law that increased the age limit, with President Trump jostling with increasing the age at the federal level. Of course, this is a gross infringement on Second Amendment rights, but the pro-gun control crowd is pushing it. Why the hell not. They’ve had some legislative success here. Yet, the complete ignorance of basic firearms knowledge has led to them stepping on a rake again, with Moms Demand...

omedian Owen Benjamin is a rising star in the battle for free speech and common sense. Using comedy as a weapon against left wing thought control, Benjamin has faced major criticism in the entertainment industry. In fact, SJWs in Hollywood have called for him to be blackballed because he dared to say that injecting hormones into 3 year old children to “transition” them into another gender is wrong. “The Big Bear,” as his online fans “The Unbearables” call Benjamin, is known for immediately adding jokes about current events into his stand up sets. So it’s no surprise that last weekend...

Zeb Cadzow and Paul Herbert are experienced hunters who live north of the Arctic Circle in Fort Yukon, Alaska. In late March of 2008, residents of Fort Yukon, Alaska become concerned because a bear was not exhibiting any fear of humans near their town. Peter John originally saw the bear eating lynx carcasses near a cabin on the edge of town. People did not believe the white bear was a polar bear. Polar bears had never been seen in the area. They thought it was an albino grizzly or a grizzly bear covered with frost. The hunters, who depend for...
