There's something refreshingly honest about those Democrats revealing their bigotry in the halls of the United States Senate. They did so in questioning Amy Coney Barrett, a law professor at Notre Dame, a Catholic and woman of impeccable academic credentials, who has been nominated to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals in Chicago, a Catholic town.Democratic U.S. Sens. Dick Durbin and Dianne Feinstein are applying a religious test to public office, something expressly forbidden by the Constitution. And by their questions to Barrett, they reveal themselves. This evokes a line of inquiry from an earlier age, one asked of leftists during the...

In an article I posted here in July, I lamented the fact that the National Endowment for the Humanities had funded the research for Professor Nancy MacLean’s hatchet job of a book entitled Democracy in Chains. I was sure that the government’s largesse was not limited to just this nasty book and therefore was not surprised when I came across this article by Christine Roe, “From Cactus Theater to the Met, US Government Pours Hundreds of Millions Into Well-Heeled Arts.” Based on a new report from that invaluable organization, Open the Books, Roe highlighted numerous cases where federal money had...

Seems that for Senator Dianne Feinstein, being a believing Catholic is enough to disqualify a candidate for a federal judgeship. Feinstein stated as such at confirmation hearings for Notre Dame law professor Amy Barrett, nominated by President Trump to the 7th Circuit Court of Appeals. "I think whatever a religion is, it has its own dogma," explained the Senator. "And I think in your case, professor, when you read your speeches, the conclusion one draws is that the dogma lives loudly within you, and that's of concern when you come to the big issues that large numbers of people have...

Attempting to create the impression that faithful Christians whose beliefs are at odds with newly sanctified cultural mores are incapable of doing their job. "Do you consider yourself an orthodox Catholic?" Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.) asked Notre Dame Law School professor Amy Coney Barrett, a nominee for a federal appeals court, yesterday. Since Durbin inquired in the form of a question, we can only assume that Barrett's answer was pertinent to the confirmation. That is problematic considering the Constitution explicitly states that no religion—not even a belief in orthodox liberalism—should be a prerequisite for holding a federal office. At least...

In 2014, Colorado Civil Rights Commissioner Diann Rice compared Jack Phillips, a Christian baker who was sued for declining to make a cake for a same-sex ceremony, to perpetrators of the Holocaust. She said: I would also like to reiterate what we said in … the last meeting [concerning Jack Phillips]. Freedom of religion and religion has been used to justify all kinds of discrimination throughout history, whether it be slavery, whether it be the Holocaust … I mean, we can list hundreds of situations where freedom of religion has been used to justify discrimination. And to me it is...

Danny Zuker, executive producer of ABC’s hit show “Modern Family,” has a message for Christians who support President Donald Trump’s decision to end the federal program known as DACA: “F- you.” A religious tirade that began Sunday night by the man who helped introduce Jay Pritchett into American popular culture lasted well into Tuesday. The reason: Mr. Trump revoked an Obama-era program aimed at keeping the children of illegal immigrants in the U.S. “Dear Christian, if you support @realdonaldtrump’s decision to end DACA then your Christianity is bulls–. But on the other hand, f- you,” Mr. Zuker tweeted over the...

Full title: 'Nigerian Gunmen Kidnap Priest And Murder Him In Cold Blood, Attack Another Priest Driving And Riddle His Car With Bullets' ~~~ Nigeria has been ranked as the most dangerous place to be a Christian. Between constant fighting with Muslim terrorists, war, and robbers, being a Christian and especially a priest is a very risky proposition. Many clergy have been and continue to be kidnapped, tortured, and murdered. Such was what happened in Nigeria recently as a group of gunmen attacked two Catholic priests. One was kidnapped and found murdered less than 24 hours later, and the second one...

China Aid founder Bob Fu, a pastor who emigrated from China after being imprisoned for his faith, shares with correspondent Alex Newman how the Communist Chinese regime has waged war on Christianity since seizing power — and how, ironically, the vicious persecution has helped the Chinese church to spread to the point where China may soon become the largest Christian nation in the world. See video interview at site.

The Southern Poverty Law Center lists the Alliance Defending Freedom and other Christian organizations as ‘extremist,’ and they have decided to fight back.WASHINGTON — When Jennifer Roback Morse, the Catholic founder and president of the Ruth Institute, tried to register her nonprofit for the “Amazon Smile” program, which allots a percentage of a customer’s purchase to a designated charity, she witnessed firsthand the outsized power of the Southern Poverty Law Center. “You have been excluded from the Amazon Smile program because the Southern Poverty Law Center lists the Ruth Institute in an ineligible category,” stated a December 2016 email from...

Yesterday, I reported on an outlandish effort to shake down a Christian pastor about his views on Islam by the Justice Department in an Obama-era holdover case. Today, a federal court entirely dismissed the Justice Department's case. United States District Court Judge Norman Moon ruled that the case was moot because the mosque settled with Culpeper County. The mosque obtained a settlement allowing it to pump and haul sewage from the land. The United States had sought to keep the case alive, and to conduct wide ranging and intrusive discovery against third parties such as Pastor Steve Harrelson of...

The United State Department of Justice has issued subpoenas to force a Christian pastor in Virginia to disclose under oath his views on Islam. Pastor Steve Harrelson of the Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Boston, Virginia, has been served with a wide-ranging subpoena by lawyers for the DOJ’s Civil Rights Division. The subpoena demands his presence to testify under oath in response to questions from Justice Department lawyers about his views on Islam as well as several other issues: DOJ Subpoena listing documents targets must provide to the government Harrelson is not a party to any lawsuit or other...

Years ago, before the European “refugee” crisis really exploded, the phrase “deliberate population replacement” seemed a bit over the top. Yes, population replacement is indeed what’s happening — but how do we know it’s deliberate? Well, that was then, and this is now. It’s become clear that the “asylum” racket is a complete scam. Now that Chancellor Merkel and her eternal coalition are secure in their seat of permanent power, they’ve given up trying to keep the “refugee” scrim in place in front of what they’re doing. Everybody’s coming in, and no one will be leaving — Europeans just may...

D. James Kennedy Ministries has filed a lawsuit against Amazon, Guidestar, and the Southern Poverty Law Center, citing defamation and religious discrimination. Filed in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Alabama, Montgomery Division on Wednesday, DJK Ministries provided The Christian Post with a copy of the suit. According to the suit, in January Amazon wrongfully denied DJK Ministries access to the AmazonSmile program due to the SPLC labeling the ministry a hate group for its opposition to homosexuality.

* In the last 30 years, more mosques and Muslim prayer centers have been built in France than all the Catholic churches built in the last century. * The Church of Santa Rita used to stand in the fifteenth arrondissement of Paris. A few weeks after Father Hamel was murdered by Islamic terrorists, the French police cleared the church. It is now a parking lot. Police dragged the priests out by their legs as a Mass was being celebrated.* In France there are laws protecting old trees. But the state is free to flatten old Christian churches. The vacuums...

Atheist groups are unhappy with President Donald Trump for allowing a weekly Bible study to take place in the White House. The Freedom From Religion Foundation (FFRF) said the Bible study might even be an illegal use of taxpayer funds, the Washington Times reported Thursday."If those officials want privacy, the solution is pretty damn simple: Study the Bible in your private capacity, not in your official capacity and at your government desk," the group said in a statement Thursday. "Do it on your time, not the taxpayers'. In short, get off your knees and get to work."The person behind the Bible...

Is a "noodle mass" a legitimate form of religious service? This has been the source of heated debate for years in the northeastern German town of Templin. Now, a court has issued a ruling on the matter. The controversy centers on four signs in the small German town of Templin, in the northeastern state of Brandenburg. At each of the four main entrances to the town, a sign erected by the Church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster informs locals of the date and time of their weekly "noodle mass," exactly like how the Catholic, Evangelical and Protestant denominations advertise their...

A Christian therapist in England who was suspended after being accused of evangelizing to a Muslim colleague has suffered another loss in court. Victoria Wasteney, the former head of Forensic Occupational Therapy at a hospital in London, was issued a nine-month suspension by East London National Health Service in 2014 after an eight-page complaint was filed against her by a Muslim colleague named Enya Nawaz. As has been reported, Nawaz and Wasteney, a born-again Christian, developed a relationship while working at the St. John Howard Centre in East London and at points discussed religious differences. Nawaz's complaint accused Wasteney of...
