I swim the Y 3/4 x's per week. looking for info on pools and Corona V Iam sure the locker room is worse than the pool but I will just by pass that and get in and get out Any one have any useful info please provide. I am in SW Fl and many geriatrics will be leaving soon which is a good thing, they have really "crappy" sanitary habits.

The issue of Joe Biden's health will become more evident as the campaign goes on. So let me throw this out there for comment. Is it possible Biden is having TIA's, Mini Strokes? It seems his gaffes and omissions are getting worse and more frequent. It will be impossible for this guy to take on the rigors of general election campaign as he is. My opinion is that it is only a matter of time before he has a complete meltdown, by that I mean a stroke given his health history and brain surgeries.
  • Johnson Redbook sales show healthy economy as recently as last week.

You'd think this would be a very good sign we're not about to plunge into recession. Johnson Redbook publishes same-store sales figures each week. Last week (ending March 7), reported sales were up over 6% from last year. That's the highest year-over-year sales gains since the Christmas rush, and stronger than just about any time during the entire Obama presidency. And that's on top of huge gains in housing construction last month. Now, the Redbook index has its limitations. It's only a survey, so it's bound to have its statistical noise. And it measure same-stores sales which have overestimate sales...
  • Relax follks. The Novel Coronavirus in decline in Italy and Korea.

Way back, in January, BEFORE Xi's announcements, I noted that the novel Coronavirus (nCov) had reached an inflection point and would soon be declining. I had even waited a few days to confirm the trend. Over the last few days, there have been only 10 official cases outside Wuhan province, and only a few hundred each day inside Wuhan. The great Chinese lie wasn't that nCov wasn't destroying civilization; it was that it wasn't nearly as contagious as the Chinese were letting on. We can see that now in South Korea and Italy. There's less data, and it's less centralized,...

Hubei Province, China (where the city of Wuhan is) has 2803 deaths with 67,103 confirmed cases. That is about 42 deaths per 1000 cases of COV-19 virus. So Iran has the highest death rate... However, Iran has 66 deaths with only 1501 cases. This is about 44 deaths per 1000 REPORTED cases. Italy only has 52 deaths with 2036 reported cases. This is about 26 deaths per 1000 cases. There may be more cases in the Seattle area than have been reported. There are 6 deaths there, but only 18 reported cases. 5 deaths in King County and 1 death...
  • Homeless at DFW airport.

I came back from a flight last night around midnight at Terminal A gate 15 and was surprised by all the homeless sleeping in the area around baggage claim and in the hallways. I guess they take the DART train to the A terminal and sleep the night, and are rounded out in the morning. This situation makes Dallas county and the DFW airport look bad at their ineptness to deal with homelessness. I heard about this situation about 2 weeks ago and called Fox affiliate KDFW channel 4 and they brushed it off. I should have taken video but...

Oh, Joe? Joe? You have just been dissed and betrayed and left to twist in the breeze by your old pal and boss, you know who I mean. You're not going to be nominated. Barr is closing in on your misdeeds in Ukraine and elsewhere, and your entire life is about to unravel. If I were you, I'd show up at Barr's office with whatever documentation I can find, and sing like a canary. Then you, Jill, Hunter, and your entire family can go into witness protection. Sure, Trump would win, but he'd win anyway. Bloomberg? Seriesly? You, however, have...
  • Helpful hints to A.O.C.

I think we all need to chip in and help A.O.C. come up with new ideas to put in her plan. I recently posted that she says every household will be required to keep chickens for eating household waste, produce eggs and fertilizer. I also think canals should be dug across the USA so we can use sailboats for travel. We can use existing Interstate routes and dig out the medium. Fill with water and sail back and forth. Other ideas?
