The court records show Border Patrol agents working the immigration checkpoint in Sarita, Texas arrested Eric Rodriguez earlier this week. Rodriguez was wearing his military uniform when he allegedly drove his Chevrolet pickup truck to the checkpoint. U.S. Border Patrol agents searched the vehicle. The agents allegedly found two illegal immigrants hiding in the floorboard just beside the front seat; they were using a bed sheet and Ramirez’s military jacket to cover themselves. Once in custody, the illegal immigrants, Alejandro Maya-Gonzalez and Juan Inda-Isiordia, told an agent with Homeland Security Investigations that one of the men had paid $3,000 to...

The strategists who base their political advice on public opinion polls have just had a surprise. A new poll reports that the American people are now more likely to trust Republicans to handle immigration and less likely to trust Democratic plans to offer illegals a path to citizenship (aka amnesty). Many people have believed this for some time. But it is now confirmed in a poll taken by the pro-amnesty Wall Street Journal, so it must be so. The new survey is decisive; 35 percent say the Republican Party would do a better job on immigration while only 27 percent...

Do not dare challenge the Masters of the Universe, the Party of Davos, or the Permanent Political Class with facts. After Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), in a thunderous Wednesday speech on the Senate floor, denounced Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg for pushing amnesty on foreign soil and high-tech executives for demanding more guest-worker permits while laying off American workers, Facebook board member Marc Andreessen maligned the Alabama Senator in a series of incensed Tweets. "Outright slander from an odious hack," Andreessen Tweeted on Thursday evening. "Mark has directly&indirectly created 10s, maybe 100s, of thousands of US jobs." He implied that Sessions...

Numbers aren't everything. Chattanooga's Hispanic population more than tripled between 2000 and 2010. But that growth may not have translated to the local economy. An analysis by personal finance social network WalletHub ranked Chattanooga third among the 150 largest U.S. cities for growth in the Hispanic population. Yet the Scenic City ranked closer to the bottom of the list for Hispanic purchasing power and business friendliness toward Hispanics. With a population of 54 million, Hispanics now make up the nation's largest ethnic or racial minority, and by 2050 could make up a third of the population. And their influence on...

Children across the country being hospitalized with the 'open border flu' The rarely-seen Enterovirus D68 (EV-D68), which has been sending children to emergency rooms in several mid-western states, has now made its way to the East Coast, as confirmed cases in Connecticut and New York have been reported in the last few days. Though the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has yet to make it official, several other states along the eastern seaboard are reporting outbreaks of the virus as well.

Confronted by an immigration activist at Iowa's annual Harkin Steak Fry (named for retired Democrat Sen Tom Harkin), Hillary Clinton hedged (then ignored a follow-up) when asked if she backs Obama's decision to delay executive action on immigration reform until after November. “You know, I think we have to elect more Democrats,” responded Clinton But Clinton studiously ignored a follow-up immigration question which latinos pressure groups keep regurgitating: “should we keep deporting families?” Copyright © 2014 Breitbart

In a video first released to Breitbart on Tuesday, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) announced his effort to combat President Barack Obama’s potential executive amnesty action, which could come following November’s midterm elections. Viewers are encouraged to visit StopObamasAmnesty.com to sign a petition. “Sen. Ted Cruz is leading the fight to secure the border,” the video explained. “Stop Obama’s amnesty and celebrate legal immigration. But he needs your help to hold Obama and Senate Democrats accountable.” The amnesty effort from Obama would likely include an expansion of his so-called Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program and apply it to an...

In light of President Obama’s decision to delay his much-anticipated edict on immigration until after November’s elections, some critics are asking why the president and Democrats in Congress didn’t pass immigration reform back when they had overwhelming majorities in both House and Senate. It’s a good question — and a good reason to revisit 2009 and 2010, when immigration reform could have become a reality. As a presidential candidate, Obama promised to “put comprehensive immigration reform back on the nation’s agenda during my first year in office.” After victory in 2008, he had the clout to do so: sky-high approval...

Displaced Syrians will likely make up the next big wave of Muslim refugees coming to America. Since the early 1990s, the United Nations high commissioner for refugees has selected more than 200,000 refugees from Islamic countries to be resettled in the United States. Most of them have come from Somalia and Iraq. Syria could soon be added to the mix in the midst of that country’s brutal civil war. The Obama administration has been greasing the skids for the Syrian refugees for months, WND has learned, and the refugees will soon be dumped on American cities throughout the U.S. In...

More than 100,000 Obamacare enrollees are set to lose their new insurance coverage at the end of the month because they have not verified their legal status in the United States. There are currently about 115,000 individuals who signed up on the federal marketplace who have not provided paperwork to resolve discrepancies between their citizenship or immigration status indicated on their insurance application and what the federal government has on record, the Obama administration said Monday. Individuals must be legal residents of the U.S. in order to purchase insurance coverage through the health law's new exchanges.

Food shelves can be a life line for people dealing with poverty and hunger. But many in the Somali-American community say finding a food shelf that caters to their religious dietary restrictions is almost impossible. “Some food shelves are trying to meet the need, but some of them already got canned beans that have already been mixed with pork — and there is a literacy issue here,” said community activist Fartun Weli. A group of first-generation Somali Americans says they need help in developing a food shelf that specializes in healthy foods that do not contain pork or pork byproducts....

NOGALES, Arizona -- On September 11, 2014, individuals or a group in Mexico hung a message to America over the U.S.-Mexico border wall condemning American support for Israel and declaring support for Palestine. U.S. federal agents discovered the banner draped over the primary border fence in Arizona’s Yuma Sector in a restricted area that could only have been reached from Mexico.

Illegal aliens in New York could score billions in Medicaid and college-tuition money — along with driver’s licenses, voting rights and even the ability to run for office — if Democrats win control of the state Senate in November, the Post has learned. A little-known bill, dubbed “New York is Home,” would offer the most sweeping amnesty available anywhere in the country to nearly 3 million noncitizens living in the Empire State.
