Instead these individuals are to be referred to as “unaccompanied children” in official correspondence, according to an internal ICE email obtained by the Center for Immigration Studies and shared with Breitbart News.

In spite of the threat, several former camp workers broke their confidentiality agreements and shared exclusive details with me about the dangerous conditions at the camp. They said taxpayers deserve to know about the contagious diseases and the risks the children pose to Americans. I have agreed to not to disclose their...

LOS ANGELES (AP) — As California prepares to issue driver's licenses to immigrants in the country illegally, residents sounded off Tuesday on what documents should be accepted as proof of identity and residency in the state. At a packed hearing in Los Angeles, scores of immigrants urged the Department of Motor Vehicles to expand the list of acceptable documents to include church and children's school records, which may be easier for some people to obtain. "As a homemaker, we don't get a membership card or a pay stub," said Martha Escandon, 42, whose Mexican immigrant family obtained legal papers in...

The Department of Homeland Security looked at opening a holding center in Escondido to house 96 migrant children. However, Escondido planning commissioners denied a conditional use permit that would have turned a former nursing home into a temporary holding facility for unaccompanied children. More than 200 residents showed up at the meeting Tuesday night to voice their concern. “It's illegal and shouldn't happen,” said a resident. A handful voiced their concern about the need for such a holding site. “I feel the city of Escondido can stand on the side of humanity,” said a resident. The majority who spoke during...

WASHINGTON, D.C. — House Homeland Security Committee Republicans spent Tuesday morning calling out the Obama administration for causing and failing to cope effectively with the ongoing crisis of unaccompanied minors flooding the border. “This is a crisis that has been in the making for years — one that we should have seen coming — but few concrete actions have been taken. The Department of Homeland Security, and the U.S. government as a whole, has been slow to act, turning a blind eye to the warning signs,” Chairman Michael McCaul (R-TX) said at a hearing about the flood of unaccompanied illegal...

Claiming that as many as half of the illegal immigrant children flooding across the border may have legitimate cases to stay in America, House Democrats introduced legislation Monday to give them taxpayer-funded lawyers to maximize their chances of not being deported. Reps. Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY), Karen Bass (D-CA), Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-CA), and Judy Chu (D-CA) introduced the Vulnerable Immigrant Voice Act of 2014 (VIVA), which "would provide appointed legal counsel for unaccompanied minors and disabled individuals during immigration proceedings." "Some of the children who have come to this country may not have a valid legal basis to remain, but some...

Many of the thousands of illegal immigrant children and teens crossing the United States border are carrying deadly contagious diseases that could easily create a major health crisis in this country, doctors say. In an exclusive interview with Breitbart News, Dr. Jane Orient, an internal medicine specialist and the Executive Director of the Association of American Physicians and Surgeons (AAPS), said that by admitting these huge groups of children who come from countries where medical screenings are minimal and hygiene is poor, the United States is at risk for epidemics of serious diseases and viruses that the nation has not...

Due to the fact that media is not allowed inside the McAllen border patrol station, Action 4 News has learned what it's like from those who have been inside. Maria and her 10-year-old son were just one of thousands of families that have been forced to stay in crowded rooms without leaving for days. It took them 22 days to travel from their home in Honduras to the US before they were caught by Border Patrol agents just minutes after crossing the Rio Grande in a raft. “He took everything from us, and he screamed at us and he told...

Vice President Joe Biden inadvertently offered U.S. citizenship to thousands, or even tens of thousands, of illegal immigrants from Central America — even though he was trying to persuade them to not cross the border. “We’re going to hold hearings with our judges consistent with international law and American law, and we’re going to send the vast majority of you back,” he said during a June 20 press press conference in Guatemala. But “vast majority” is not “all.” So Biden’s statement says the U.S. will award the Grand Prize in human life — ‘U.S. citizenship for you and all your...

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi’s office Friday chided House Speaker John A. Boehner for calling illegal immigrant children “aliens” in a Twitter message. “Mr. Speaker, these comments and labels are inexcusable and reprehensible — no one should be politicizing the ordeal of these children in such a manner,” Mrs. Pelosi’s office said. **SNIP** Indeed, the Obama administration’s Homeland Security Department officially refers to the kids surging across the border as “Unaccompanied Alien Children.”

What is the lesson to be learned by the defeat of U.S. Rep. Eric Cantor? The average voter doesn’t want amnesty. It’s not just a Republican issue. Democrats can vote in the Virginia Republican primary. And until the liberal legislators pass the Safe Driving Act to give illegal immigrants driver’s licenses, which will get them one step closer to voting, pro-amnesty politicians in the People’s Republic of Massachusetts should worry about being Cantorized. While union leadership supports amnesty, the blue-collar workers don’t want competition for jobs at a lower wage. Moreover, lunch-pail workers don’t want to put in a hard...

An arrest has been made in the murder of a San Antonio woman who was killed more than a decade ago. Lillita Moke's body was found in the basement of her Monte Vista home in March of 2000, after neighbors complained of a foul odor. A conservative-leaning nonprofit, the American Civil Rights Union (ACRU), recently filed a federal lawsuit over allegations that Zavala County is “failing to make a reasonable effort to conduct voter list maintenance programs.” The ACRU claims the county—which supported the re-election of President Obama by 83%--allegedly holds a 105 percent voter registration rate. Lead litigator for the case, former DOJ attorney J. Christian Adams, argues to Breitbart Texas that despite Zavala County’s smaller population—voter roll maintenance failures can distort voter turnout and total tabulations in local races. ... The filed federal complaint claims, “Voter rolls maintained by the Defendant for Zavala...
