Rep. Alan Grayson (D., Fla.) is finding himself in hot water over managing hedge funds that bear his name, actions that are in possible violation of House ethics rules. Sitting members of Congress are prohibited from using their name in titles of entities for personal financial gain, Politico reports. Rep. Grayson has three hedge funds with his name attached to their title. One of Grayson’s funds, Grayson Fund L.P, is based out of Delaware and consists of three investors. According to November regulatory filings, the fund shows sales totaling $13.2 million.

A divorce lawyer for U.S. Rep. Alan Grayson’s wife says the congressman is trying to intimidate him. Attorney Mark Longwell said in a court filing Friday that Grayson had written him an email threatening litigation for comments Longwell made about the divorce proceedings earlier in the week. Rep. Alan Grayson (D-Fla.) is calling on the Obama administration to impose a travel ban on three West African nations in response to a growing Ebola virus outbreak. The House Foreign Affairs Committee member wants the State Department to bar citizens of Guinea, Liberia and Sierra Leone from entering the United States, including any foreign travelers who have visited those countries in the previous 90 days. He also requested that the ban be expanded to any nation that reports an originating case of the virus, and that restrictions only be lifted 90 days after the last reported case.

Alan Grayson, a Florida Democrat, alleged in divorce papers that his union with his wife, Lolita, was a “bigamous marriage” because she was already married when he wed her in 1990. In the petition, Grayson accuses his wife of having filed a false application for their marriage license 24 years ago, when she lied about not being divorced from the other man at the time of their marriage.

A top building trades union is launching a midterm-election assault on House Democrats who oppose construction of the Keystone XL oil pipeline. A letter distributed Friday by the Laborers' International Union of North America (LIUNA) to the districts of 27 House Democrats calls for union members to make sure their representative "feels the power and the fury of LIUNA this November."
