It appears that some bureaucrat in Alabama has decided to post Alabamans' rest stops with signs that are toxic to the second amendment and Alabama law.  As reported on opencarry.org, the signs say "No weapons beyond this point". It’s the AL rest stop eastbound I-10 @ AL/ MS line, about 15 miles west of Mobile. According to Skidmark at opencarry.org, rest stops are not listed as prohibited places for possessing weapons. MARSHALL COUNTY, AL (WAFF) - A homeowner shot aburglary suspect in the groin after catching two men trying to steal scrapmetal from his property, according to authorities. SELMONT — Two burglars greeted a Selmont couple returning home from work early Saturday morning. In the exchange that ensued, one of the burglars was shot and killed, while the other one escaped and is considered armed and dangerous. Sgt. From the West Alabama Newsroom-- A suspected burglar is shot and killed by a homeowner -- when a Dallas County couple walks in on a break-in in progress at their house. Sheriff Harris Huffman says it happened early Friday morning on the 900 block of Lowery Drive in the Pine Glen housing community. The sheriff says the couple surprised two burglars when they came home and one of the burglars ran -- but the other was shot and killed.

AUBURN, AL (WSFA) - The Auburn Police Department says it has arrested two people following a shooting that happened Sunday evening in the 800 block of Annalue Drive. Officers were called to the residence just before 9 p.m. on a report that a man found two people inside his home. The homeowner fired several shots at the suspects who then fled the scene. The victim reported two Samsung cell phones valued at $600 were taken in the burglary.

You see, there were many who thought I should be treated like a second class citizen, drink from a different water fountain, sit in the back of the bus, be counted as three-quarters of a person, go to a different school, eat and sit in the black section of restaurants, use a different bathroom; you know, be separate but equal.

Just thought I'd call Obama's arming Syrian rebels for what it REALLY is; America training and arming terrorists who've committed atrocities just as bad as those committed against them. A Brewton man held a home invasion suspect at bay with a shotgun early Sunday morning until deputies could arrive and make an arrest. The suspect, identified as 20-year old Glenn Phillips of East Brewton, was allegedly walking along Travis Road about 2 a.m. when came to a house, kicked in the door and entered, according to Escambia County (AL) Chief Deputy Mike Lambert. A dog inside the home cornered Phillips, giving the resident time to retrieve his shotgun and call 911. The victim held Phillips on the floor with the shotgun until deputies arrived and arrested Phillips without incident.
