Maybe some of you FREEPERS who bash Cruz for supporting TPA and who hold Jeff Sessions up as being a new hero for Americans.... Can you tell me WHY he supported CAFTA? Doesn't CAFTA give back door access to illegal immigration? Doesn't this hurt the American worker? Inquiring minds want to know.

Could you just give me a straight answer? Like a simple yes or no? Please don't try to squirm your way out of it. You still won't answer? Aggghhh! Aggghhh! AGGGGHHHHHHH!!!! One could forgive Jake Tapper if he felt like channeling his inner Sam Kinison on CNN's The Lead today while he was trying to get a simple answer from Hillary Clinton spokeswoman, Karen Finney, on the subject of Hillary's position on the TPP (Trans-Pacific Partnership) trade bill in Congress. Tapper's very visible exasperation with Finney's nonanswers were completely understandable as she continued her evasive shuffle on the topic all through...

Washington, DC1031 Despite staying largely silent on the issue—he’s quietly supported it for weeks, but hasn’t said anything at all in quite a long time—Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker crossed most conservatives by coming out in support of Obamatrade on Thursday evening in an interview with Bloomberg’s Mark Halperin. Walker, Bloomberg’s Halperin and John McCormick wrote, “expressed agreement with President Barack Obama on the pressing issue of fast-track trade legislation.” “Walker said he supports giving Obama the authority to submit trade agreements to Congress for an expedited, up-or-down vote without amendments,” they wrote, before quoting Walker himself. “If we don’t go...

. CLICK This LINK to HEAR the Entire Kuhner Radio Interview A Note to Conservatives on Trade Agreements Senator Cruz entirely understands the widespread suspicion of the President. Nobody has been more vocal in pointing out the President’s lawlessness or more passionate about fighting his usurpation of congressional authority. Senator Cruz would not and will not give President Obama one more inch of unrestricted power. There have been a lot of questions and concerns about 2the ongoing Pacific trade negotiations. Many of those concerns, fueled by the media, stem from confusion about Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) and the proposed Trans-Pacific...

U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) warns: It appears there will be another attempt by Tuesday to force through new executive powers for President Obama. A vote for TAA next week is a vote to send fast-track to the President’s desk and to grant him these broad new executive authorities. If that happens, it will empower the President to form a Pacific Union encompassing 40 percent of the world’s economy and 12 nations—each with one equal vote. ... Fast-track will not only apply to the Pacific Union, but can expedite an unlimited number of yet-unseen international compacts for six years. There...

On Wednesday's Mark Levin Show: "We can't continue to keep passing massive pieces of legislations and laws we're required to live under without knowing what's in them. "John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Paul Ryan, and rest of Congress won't tell the American people what's in the fast track bill until it's passed and too late to take it back. By the time the fast track bill is passed, Congress will have unilaterally suspended the ability to amend it. "This isn't how a republic is supposed to function, with no consent of the governed. "

The most potent illustration that Republicans have shifted their attitudes on immigration came Tuesday morning when all GOP members of the Senate Judiciary Committee rejected an amendment from Sen. Jeff Sessions, R-Ala., to severely limit the number of legal immigrants allowed into the country. The committee’s overwhelming ‘No’ vote shows that the battle for Republicans’ souls on immigration has shifted away from groups that want to reduce the influx of foreigners, like the Heritage Foundation, NumbersUSA, and Fairness for American Immigration Reform (FAIR), toward free-market groups that applaud increased immigration, such as Americans for Tax Reform and the CATO Institute....

Texas Senator and GOP presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) argued Trade Promotion Authority (TPA) “is not giving the president more authority†and that Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL) is “not accurate†in some of his claims regarding the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) on Friday’s broadcast of “The Kuhner Report†on Boston’s WRKO.Cruz argued that he had been the staunchest opponent of President Barack Obama in Congress. He then separated TPA (Trade Promotion Authority) and the TPP (the Trans-Pacific Partnership). He touched on TPA first, stating that “history has demonstrated, the only way to get a trade agreement adopted is with fast-track....

Sessions’ final “critical alert,” one of several he’s issued throughout the Obamatrade process, shows House Ways and Means Committee chairman Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI)60% has been engaged in deception as he attempts to guide Obamatrade’s passage through the House. “Promoters of fast-track executive authority have relied on semantic obfuscation in an effort to deny the obvious: the President’s top priority is obtaining fast-track authority because he knows it will expand his powers and allow him to cement his legacy through the formation of a new political and economic union,” Sessions said. The authority granted in “Trade Promotion Authority” is authority...

Legislation that would take the state of Alabama out of the business of issuing marriage licenses died in the House of Representatives committee today.

A couple of steaks shoplifted at a Gardendale Walmart three months ago led to the biggest food stamp fraud investigation in Jefferson County's history, and launched 11 simultaneous raids this morning at convenience stores countywide. Led by the Jefferson County District Attorney's Office, teams of law enforcement officers met at 5 a.m. for a briefing and then fanned out across the county beginning at 6:50 a.m. The officers and agents were armed with 242 arrest warrants and plans to arrest 17 suspects. All 17 suspects were in custody by mid-morning, and investigators already today have filed for forfeiture and condemnation...

Assuming a pending bill in Alabama makes it all the way into law, we’re about to see an unusual test case in the marriage wars. Rather than arguing over the definition of marriage for the purposes of issuing licenses, the Heart of Dixie is moving to do away with marriage licenses entirely and replace them with contracts. Right now, if you want to get married you go to the courthouse and the probate judge gives you a marriage license.Attorney Jake Watson explains, “[SB377] does away with that and requires parties to enter into a contract and file it at...

On a sweltering Saturday morning in Huntsville, Alabama, nearly two dozen protesters line up along Sparkman Drive, down the road from a dollar store, a car dealership and an assortment of churches. Motorists cruising down the four-lane road honk their horns at the gaggle of activists, who recite prayers through a megaphone and hold signs outside a nondescript beige building that would otherwise go unnoticed. “Well, of course, as an American I’m against killing,” says Huntsville resident George Barry, who says he has participated in local anti-abortion protests since the early 1980s, and today grasps a large yellow sign that...

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (May 23, 2015) – This week, the Alabama state Senate passed a bill that would end the practice of licensing marriages in the state, effectively nullifying both major sides of the contentious national debate over government-sanctioned marriage. Introduced by Sen. Greg Albritton (R-Bay Minette), Senate Bill 377 (SB377) would end state issued marriage licenses, while providing marriage contracts as an alternative. It passed through the Alabama state Senate by a 22-3 margin on May 19. “When you invite the state into those matters of personal or religious import, it creates difficulties,” Sen. Albritton said about his bill in...

(VIDEO-AT-LINK) Ten years after Natalee Holloway went missing, a Dutch citizen says he knows where to find her. Prosecutors, however, aren't buying it. Jurriën de Jong told CNN's Martin Savidge that the teen's body is buried in a crawl space at a Marriott vacation property in Aruba, and he believes he saw her in her final moments. De Jong says he was near Marriott's Aruba Surf Club, then under construction, on the night of May 30, 2005, when he saw a young man chase a young woman through the construction site. At first, he thought the two were being playful,...

U.S. Representative Mike Rogers (R-Alabama) made headlines recently when he introduced an amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act of 2015 (H.R. 1735). The amendment allows for the transfer of surplus 1911A1 handguns to the Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) for sale to the general public. Last week, in response, the U.S. army released a white paper voicing “concern” over this amendment and claimed that there would be “potential negative impacts on public safety from the large amount of semi-automatic and concealable pistols that will be released for public purchase.” These concerns included the traceability of the firearms after sale, and...
