Democrats at the Left’s premier think tank have finally admitted in a leaked memo that illegal immigration is key to their party’s future electoral success. Republicans may not be angels but they have never wielded compassion as a cudgel the way Democrats do. But this memo ought to end Democrats’ phony compassion shtick for all time. Power is the only thing that matters to them. They don’t care about America or Americans. They care only about winning. Honest observers have known this for years. What did Democrats actually do this time to help solidify their image as the party of...

NASA confirmed the death early Saturday in a posting on Twitter: “We’re saddened by the loss of astronaut John Young, who was 87. Young flew twice to the Moon, walked on its surface & flew the first Space Shuttle mission. He went to space six times in the Gemini, Apollo & Space Shuttle programs.” Tweeted astronaut Terry Virts: “Rest In peace John...
  • Illegal Who Killed Kate Steinle Avoids State Prison Time on Weapons Charge

The illegal immigrant who discharged a firearm and killed 32-year-old Kate Steinle was sentenced to three years in prison Friday, but he won’t be spending any more time in state jail. Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was acquitted of Steinle’s murder in December, but a jury convicted him of the lesser charge of a felon in possession of a firearm. Since he has been detained in the San Francisco jail since his arrest on July 1, 2015, he was credited for time served. Garcia Zarate will be on state parole for 48 months and will be transferred to federal custody.

The FBI is investigating whether the Clinton Foundation accepted donations in exchange for political favors while Hillary Clinton was secretary of State, two people familiar with the probe confirmed Friday. The revelation comes as President Trump and congressional Republicans have been urging the Justice Department to look into corruption allegations involving the foundation. It is unclear when or why the probe began, but the sources told the Associated Press it has been ongoing for several months, with prosecutors and FBI agents taking the lead from their offices in Little Rock, Ark., where the foundation has offices. The people were not...

Prince Harry and his American fiancée Meghan Markle reportedly want to invite former President Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama to their wedding in May, but government officials in the United Kingdom are worried such a move could anger the current U.S. president. A report released on Christmas Day by The Sun claims that the 33-year-old royal and his wife-to-be hope to invite the Obamas, but not the current White House inhabitants. "Harry has made it clear he wants the Obamas at the wedding, so it’s causing a lot of nervousness," a senior government official told The Sun,...

Second, what are some hymns, and other pieces of Christian music, that resonate at Christmas?

In September, Matt reported about the Baltimore Ravens National Anthem singer who quit his job due to the National Football League protests sparked by Colin Kaepernick in a supposed attempt to highlight police brutality by kneeling during the Star Spangled banner. Joey Odoms quit, not because he did not support these players, but because of the fans who did not make an effort to understand why these protests were happening. “The tone/actions of a large number of NFL fans in the midst of our country's cultural crisis have convinced me that I do not belong there,” said Odoms on Facebook:...

The US Department of Justice will investigate claims that the Obama administration shielded the Lebanon-based Shi’ite terrorist group Hezbollah from criminal prosecution for its drug-trafficking and gun-running operations, as part of an effort to curry favor with Hezbollah’s patron, Iran. Last week, Politico released an investigative report citing Drug Enforcement Administration and former Treasury Department officials who claimed that the previous administration blocked the prosecution of Hezbollah officials known to be involved in the smuggling of illegal narcotics and weapons – including chemical weapons – in an effort to bring Hezbollah’s patron state, Iran, to the negotiating table. In 2015,...

The Los Angeles chapter of Black Lives Matter is calling for people to resist “white capitalism” and President Trump by only buying from black businesses during the holiday season. On Sunday, the allegedly official Black Lives Matter-LA Twitter account posted that they are “dreaming of a #BlackXmas” that involves people withholding their “dollars from White capitalism” and, instead, spending that money in the black community: We’re dreaming of a #BlackXmas...where folks withhold dollars from White capitalism and use resources to #BuildBlackCommunity. Instead of spending, DONATE to a Black organization as a holiday gift for your loved ones or #BuyBlack. Go...

As the co-host of NBC’s “Today,” Matt Lauer once gave a colleague a sex toy as a present. It included an explicit note about how he wanted to use it on her, which left her mortified. On another day, he summoned a different female employee to his office, and then dropped his pants, showing her his penis. After the employee declined to do anything, visibly shaken, he reprimanded her for not engaging in a sexual act. He would sometimes quiz female producers about who they’d slept with, offering to trade names. And he loved to engage in a crass quiz...

I’m stuffed. I always cook the turkey with the guts in it !” said Brzezinski.“Joe didn’t notice. He ate the bag,” joked co-host Willie Geist  “It was good! Well, you know, the game made up for it...

Two-time Olympic medalist McKayla Maroney disclosed abuse by Nassar in October. We're not stupid people. We think about these things a lot. When you have this responsibility, how do you not think about it?" "I provide advice to...
