A phone call from an Indiana state prison inmate inquiring about a little girl possibly being held in a plywood box led authorities to a home in North Judson where they found the 3-year-old curled up asleep inside a 24-by-24-inch box early Wednesday morning, the sheriff told FoxNews.com. The revelation led to nine arrests—including the girl’s father and his wife, authorities said. The box was located inside the family’s living room. The child was not identified, but she was found in a plywood box inside the family’s living room. “It’s one of those deals, you go there and think, ‘Hopefully,...

Specifically, $1 billion would provide "cash and medical expenses and social services" for illegals and refugees. Another $2.82 billion would fund the care of youths flooding across the border in historic numbers. "HHS is experiencing the highest number of unaccompanied children in care and the largest footprint of funded capacity in the program's history, and flows of unaccompanied children have continued to grow over the last months," said the administration's documents. That increase, which has shocked many immigration critics on Capitol Hill, is far more than the $1.4 billion increase the administration sought for veterans health care in the Fiscal...

KENTVILLE, Nova Scotia, November 14, 2016 (LifeSiteNews) — Rev. Brent Hawkes, Canada’s most celebrated homosexual activist minister, is in court for allegedly sexually abusing a 16-year-old boy in the 1970s. The Court in Kentville heard the first witness testify that he saw Hawkes performing oral-genital actions on a teenage male at the pastor’s Nova Scotia home about 40 years ago. Witness Douglas Aylward said he was 16 years old when a group of friends returned to Hawkes’ home after drinking at a local tavern. At one point, the minister pulled the teenager inside a small bathroom, told him he had...

The most obnoxious spin of the 2016 campaign came this week, as Democrats, their media allies and even President Obama accused the FBI of stacking the election. It’s an extraordinary claim, coming as it does from the same crew that has—we now know—been stacking the election all along in the corridors of the Justice Department. This is the true November surprise. For four months, FBI Director James Comey has been the public face of the investigation into Hillary Clinton’s email server. He played that role so well, putting the FBI so front and center, that the country forgot about Mr....

Health Care: President Obama once told the country that ObamaCare was a "great product." When open enrollment for ObamaCare begins on Nov. 1, millions of Americans will discover just how big a lie this was. Although the mainstream press has largely ignored it during this election in favor of wall-to-wall coverage of Donald Trump's alleged misdeeds, ObamaCare is absolutely coming unglued. When the exchanges open for business in two weeks, people looking for insurance there will find far fewer choices, sky-high premiums and lower-quality plans. A recent analysis by Bloomberg found that because insurance companies have bailed out of so...

The following is testimony of Regina Immersio, a former resident of Rhode Island who was forced against her will by her parents to enroll in government programs and was forcibly sterilized with the drug Klonopin, the same drug that Country singer Stevie Nicks took and rendered her sterile as well. Regina suffered misery and hardship while on welfare and discovered to her horror that the medications she had taken had made her worse. She currently lives in Fort Collins Colorado where she volunteers in a women's ministry. My name is Regina Immersio, I'm 34 years old, I live in Fort...

When our son turned 6, my husband and I bought him a puppet theater and a chest of dress-up clothes because he liked to put on plays. We filled the chest with 20 items from Goodwill, mostly grown-man attire: ties, button-down shirts, a gray pageboy cap and a suit vest. But we didn’t want his or his castmates’ creative output to be curtailed by a lack of costume choices, so we also included high heels, a pink straw hat, a dazzling fairy skirt and a sparkly green halter dress. He was thrilled with these presents. He put on the sparkly...

New studies have failed to find even a single positive benefit to spanking children and a near endless amount of horrible effects. Dr. Elizabeth Gershoff joins Stefan Molyneux to discuss her latest study, refuting the common pro-spanking arguments, why social justice warriors have nothing to do with less aggressive parenting, associating love with physical abuse and ending the escalating cycle of violence in relationships. Dr. Elizabeth Gershoff is a developmental psychologist, in addition to being a Faculty Research Associate and Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Sciences at University of Texas at Austin. She recently published a revolutionary new...

After just 12 years on the job, the departing Congressman gets hefty retirement benefits. ... Suppose such a worker left his job today and rolled over his 401(k) proceeds to a self-directed retirement account. He grows his money at 5% a year and then draws a 4% income in retirement. By age 56 said worker would have enough to produce $15,000 in yearly income. If he waited until 62 he could collect $20,000. If that seems unfair, it gets worse. First, the 401(k) is contributing mostly his funds, while the federal pension is paid mostly from taxpayer funds. Second, after...

For some reason, playing a song in which 50 percent of the lyrics are the exact phrase “smack my bitch up” for an accused domestic abuser didn’t quite sit right with people, leading the Cubs to issue the following formal apology: "The selection of this track showed a lack of judgment and sensitivity to an important issue. We have terminated our relationship with the employee responsible for making the selection and will be implementing stronger controls to review and approve music before public broadcast during our games."

An Arkansas woman was taken to jail for using a switch on her great-granddaughter, who she says was misbehaving. Police say the girl has visible welts on her arm. Norma Toussaint, 70, says she's not a bad person, but says she did pull a switch off her front hedges, stripped the leaves and used it to punish her 12-year-old great-granddaughter. "I went back in the house and whooped her on her arm," Toussaint said. Upset, the girl threatened to dial 911. "I asked, I said, 'You want to call the police on me?' And she said, 'Yes.' I said, 'Call...

RANCHO CUCAMONGA >> As the slight, victimized 12-year-old boy sat in a witness box during his uncle’s sexual abuse trial, he tensed up, slumped a little in his chair and reached his hand toward something out of the jury’s sight. His small hand found the warm and dark head of a black Labrador, Lupe, and he began to stroke her fur. Still nervous, the boy was able to relax slightly and continue with his testimony — testimony, which coupled with additional evidence and corroborating witness statements, helped a jury convict his uncle, Mario Hernandez, 59, of Upland, of years of...

You Need to See This Tribute to the Victim’s of Michael Vick’s Dog Fighting Ring By Diana Beth Miller - May 23, 2016 Dog fighting has been around for decades. We once may have thought of this practice as one of those faraway, unmentionable “sports” that takes place in the dark recesses of abandoned buildings with less-than-stellar characters at the helm. But, when news broke of an American football quarterback, Michael Vick’s, horrendous practice of dog fighting within the confines of his “luxury” home and property, people were not only shocked and stunned, but also extremely angry that this high-profile...
